I used to believe that cheating at cards was about the worst thing you could do. This was after I heard people talking about cheating and saying how horrible it was and acting like it was really bad. Cheating at cards was the only way of cheating I knew.

I had the "toys are alive like in Toy Story" belief up until I was freakin' thirteen!

But that's not all: when I was eightish, my mum told be this huge lie that when you can't find a toy that's because it's gone to a place called "Adventure Land".

Even me, logical little miss that I was, believed in a place with that phoney-baloney name for three darned years!

She was so adamant about this lie too: she claimed she'd witnessed her teddy bear trying to go there, that there was one place in that phoney world where no cats were allowed, and there was a literal all-you-can-eat buffet.

When I was six, I thought that if you got a pair of a type you already got in "Go Fish", it didn't count. For example, if you'd already gotten a pair of jacks, the second one didn't count. And I thought that if you got a pair of a type you already had, the solution was to discard one of the cards that formed the pair and not use it.

I only recently found out that accordions had bass buttons. I always thought that the piano keys or right hand buttons were the only way to get it to make a sound, and that whenever somebody in a video was playing an accordion with both sides they had edited in the bass part.

When I was a little I thought that toys could speak to me ,because when I was sad I heard them comfort me. But sometimes they did not advise me in the right way
so after a moment I did not give them confience any more .

Now, when I'm sad I'm comforting myself with candy and my phone it's cool to be comforted with technology !

This isn't something I thought but another kid did (who was younger than me). We were playing charades, and while I knew how to play it, the kid didn't get it and thought that instead of getting people to guess the words in the title you were supposed to act out what happens in the movie (e.g one of his was The Matrix and he would reel back and wave his arms around like he was Neo dodging bullets.) The other adults tried to explain how it really works but I don't remember if he ever figured it out or not.

When I was around 8 or so, I made a poster with a list of instructions and tried to give it to my family. It said to make 2 copies of the poster and give them to someone else until everyone on the planet had one. They were then to report to the North Pole the following weekend (as in the weekend after I made the poster).

Once everyone was there, I planned on somehow opening a portal to a new universe, which would also have new laws of physics written by me (I had this image in my head of me typing these laws onto a computer). Among the laws were that no one could ever die and every fictional universe ever created would be made real. Once we arrived in the new universe, I planned on ruling over it as President.

I had a different version of the "Everyone but me's an alien" belief. I did think there were other humans and I had to find them, but adults were "good aliens" who'd give me clues as to the humans' location, and the kids were "bad aliens," sent to misguide me and make things tougher.

When I was a kid, there was a playground near my place with a spaceship-shaped climbing frame. I was too young to play on it, but I thought that the reason why people weren't letting me play on it was because it was really an actual spaceship.

I distincly remember in the past if I didn’t go to my bed at 8 o’clock, a person would came to my home to take my toys to give them to children in the world and my parents wouldn’t buy new toys for me
