Between the ages of 5 and 9 I believed that I needed to complete a daily diary (which consisted of a drawing in felt-tip of nearly A4 size and a few words underneath as to what I did) so that when I was a grown up I could look back at what I did. I used to panic if I was sent to bed and I hadn't done the diary, and I would have to sneak downstairs to try and do it in another room without my parents knowing. My parents were amazingly sympathetic to my plight and would let me do the drawing at 11pm and then go back to bed because otherwise I screamed and panicked. What's funny is that I remember every day being nearly the same picture because what exactly does a 5 year old kid do that's exciting?

As if now I really want to look back at all that rubbish - what a waste of time! I'm surprised my parents didn't send me to see a shrink.

i used to (and on occasions still consider it to be a viable explanation for many things that happen in life) think that my life was a series of very complex scientific experiments, and real life was something completely different altogether. i used to think everything was planned- to the last detail- like the period i would study in history, tv programs, the concept of money, everything. and all my family and everyone in contact with me were highly important "actors" in the tests. i used to think that one day they would terminate the experiment and id discover that everything i'd known wasn't actually true.

i also used to think i had some obscure illness or condition that would give me an excuse for when i screwed things up, came last on sports day, etc.

sometimes i wish i did...

i watched toys story. After the movie i used to believe that toys come alive when your not looking...i always tried to catch them in their act...it took time for me to realize that it wasnt true after all those years..=)

if i didn't colour in pictures in a colouring book quick enough, they'd suffocate and die. Many creepy clowns gave their lives back then. haha!

I used to think there was always someone trying to kill me and if I didn't ignore it or act all loud they'd get me.

I believed that the cards in a pack of cards had personalities according to their rank. My brother and I would play some kind of make-believe game with them and he always made me be the 2 of clubs because it was so lowly and ugly, and he was all the other cards. I had to be servile to him.
It's so unfair looking back.

i used to have this terrible fear of ghosts or monsters coming to get me in the night, so when i went to sleep i would take all the stuffed animals from my animal net and put them in a huge circle around me, sure that they would fight off all evil-doers that came to harm me.

i used to believe that i was the only person who truly exsisted, other people were somehow there just to make sense for my own existance.I wish i still believed it.

I used to believe that everyone else could read my mind. I thought everyone could hear everything I was thinking. I spent about half my childhood looking at people thinking the words GET THE KDFJFLKSDJ OUT OF MY HEAD!!

From The Time after i read A Certain book I thought I was a dog but drank a special potion when i was a puppy that turned me into a human

My mom once bought be a very lovely teddy bear, dressed up in a blue lace dress. Now, at that age, I, like most kids, thought that my toys came to life when I was not awake/around. And each of my toys had their own personalities and their own reasons for not coming to life while I was around. Well, I somehow came to the conclusion that this particular Teddy Bear was very rich, and could only speak French. Day after day, I would sit and speak pure gibberish to the Teddy Bear, beleiving that I was talking to it in French. It obviously failed to respond.

In any case, I then proceeded to bring it to school, and show it to all of my friends, convincing them that my Teddy Bear could speak French. I challenged each of them to talk French to it and see if it would come to life. Of course, it never did, and I informed them that they were horrible french-speakers.

Sadly, they beleived every word that I told them.

I used to believe that my sister's dolls would come alive and steal my hands if i slept with my hands outside the covers.

I stopped believing that when i was 15.

My aunt Helen told my cousin Shane when he was a toddler that he was a prince and she was his humble servant. He really thought he was a prince until kindergarten, when all the kids made fun of him for thinking he was a prince.

As a young child I watched scary movies with my older brother. Well there was a certain movie were stuffed animals and toys would come alive and kill the children that owned them. Well i believed that this was possible so for the longest time I would treat all of my stuffed animal extremly well, giving them all equal turns sleeping in the bed with me, and the ones that didn't get to sleep in the bed had a homemade bed made of pillows and blankets on the floor. This fear fallowed me almost all the way through junior high.

When I was little, about 4 or so, I thought the toy guns that were on the shelf at Wal-Mart's toy section were real, and nearly freaked out when I saw someone else lift one off the shelf and point it in my general direction. I thought he was gonna shoot me!
