When i was young i used to have a lamb teddy that i took everywhere with me and i would never let my mum take it off me it used to smell so bad and it was sooooo dirty but everytime she tried to take it off my i would scream like mad. so when i went to sleep at my grans house my mum didnt put my toy lamb in the bag so i didnt get to sleep all night and when i went home in the morning the first thing i did was go and look for him.
after about 10 mins looking for him i ran to my mum who was in the garden and to my horror i saw baa lamb hanging on the washing line an i thought that my mum had killed him.

when i was around 6 i thought that all of my teddies and dolls and toys came alive when i was asleep. Every night I would li down in bed, pretending to be asleep and every 5 minutes or so I opened my eyes to see if they moved. (they didn't). My mum knew of my beliefs and in the middle of every night while I was sleeping she would move around the toys to make them seem as if they were doing somehing eg playing on the computer, climbing back into the toy box. i beleieved this for over 3 years

Have you heard of a game called hot potato? it's when you have a ball and you have to pretend it's a hot potato so you have to throw/catch it as quickly as possible. I thought that the ball/potato was red hot and would actually burn me so i got really scared whenever we played this game

i used to think that when i went away from home on holiday, all my toys would start crying and be really sad because they would be wondering 'where's mummy gone?'. So when we went to malaysia and canda i brought my whole collection of toys (i think i had about 20-30 combined with my sister) How silly!!

I had these little stones, they were plastic toys, and I was 12. I had just bought them, and I pulled one out of my pocket and put it back it to look at it. Later, I noticed it was missing. I was certain that they somehow granted wishes, even though I knew that was a silly idea. I later ralized that I had put it in a different pocket.

When i was about 6 yrs old i used to have a massive collection of Barbie dolls and my mum told me that every night that when i fell asleep they would come out and have a party. So i used to try and stay awake and be really quiet so they would come out and party. Sadly though they never did.

I used to believe that my Barbies would come alive when I went to sleep. For fear of them getting mad at me...each of them had to be dressed and put nicely in the box before I left the room. Otherwise, the Barbies would get jealous and become very angry.

When I Was 6 Years Of Age,I Used To Visit My Grandmother's House And She Had A Bunch Of Stuffed Miss Piggy Dolls And Teddies In Her Room. I Believed That When I Left The Room, The Stuffed Animals Would Come Alive And Talk To Eachother. So, I Would Leave For A Few Seconds And Burst Open The Door To Try To Catch Them In The Act.

When I was little I used to believe that my life was a TV show. I honestly thought that SOMEHOW there were cameras that watched my everymove.

I also believed that TV shows were other people's lives that I was allowed to watch. I just hoped MY show was as funny as some of theirs... and I also always wanted to go live with the Star Trek people b/c their life was cool! haha

When I was about 7 or 8 (I'm 18 now) I used to sleep with every single stuffed animal I owned. The reason for this was that I believed that when I was asleep they would come to life and protect me from any monsters lurking under my bed or in my closet. Then I saw the movie 'Chuckie', I stopped sleeping with my stuffed animals and instead would cover them up with a blanket while I slept.

my favorite toy was this really nice floppy realistic looking dog named mutsy (it came with that lame name). i had to sleep with it everynite or i thought it would get mad. and when i left for school i had to put it on my bed just right or i thought it would get mad and hate me. i was terrified of it. i still kinda am when i visit my parents and see it in the closet...

I used to believe…

you know those ball pits at chucky cheese or whatever? like a pit filled with plastic balls? when i was younger, i guess i put my foot to the bottom and felt something sharp there, and i told my aunt and she said that the bottom was filled with crabs. so everytime after that when i would get in one of those pits i would "wade" frantically. it was more of a challenge then fun. dont touch the crabs!!!

I used to believe…

for some reason, when i was around pre-school age, i was convinced that i could change into some kind of wolf someday because i could make this really weird sound in the back of my throat. i thought that i couldnt tell anyone, but one time i my mom was talking to my teacher and i let out this weird "growl". i think they ignored me because kids are weird, but i remember being afraid that they were going to find out my "secret"... i hope i never have kids as strange as i was!!

When I was young I vaguely believed the entire world, practically everything I experienced, was a crafted charade produced by adults. I envisioned a conspiracy governed through meetings and phone calls when I was asleep. It was all pre-planned that I would pass a red van and then a blue Mustang on the bus ride to school. When my first grade teacher dropped her chalk while writing at the board, I knew that had been carefully arranged before. I didn't think there was any evil intent to ths, just that the whole world was a make believe situation designed around me. It was more narcissism than paranoia. And I expected that when I was older I would be called into service to pretend for other young people.

Long after I ditched this belief I still would play around with the idea, imaging the logistics and consequences of such a thing.

When I was little I was convinced my parents and sister were spies. I thought they were planning to kill me, so every night, when they tucked me in bed, I always said some weird word like "bumbedoodiledi" or something like that and I thought that was my weapon and thats why they never actually attacked me.

When I was little, my parents bought a new refrigerator that was delivered to our house in a big box. AFter taking the refrigerator out, my dad laid the box on its side and cut 'windows' into the sides of the box so my younger sister and I could use it as a playhouse. We loved it! A few months later, my parents told us they were going to buy a new car. For several weeks my sister and I did nothing but talk about how much fun we would have with the even bigger new car box! We were heartbroken to discover the day the new car came home that new cars did NOT come in huge boxes!

I owned one of those old Polly Pockets (the ones that were tiny playsets with a little theme and little figurines inside) and it was the hair salon one. It came with those little hair-drying bonnets/hats that are attached to chairs. As a result of watching many cartoons,I thought that they were the type of hats that the mad scientists always used to switch peoples minds and make them think/act like animals. So I always would do that to my male figurine(from another Polly Pocket Playset of course)since his head fit in there best.

I used to be afraid that we lived in a giant's dream, and I was terrified that one day he would wake up, and the world would end. One day I shared this fear with my sister and was shocked to discover that she also believed that. I still have no idea what led us to think that.
