When I was little I used to belive that those troll dolls could be sprouted from seeds. Remember those troll dolls? my dad planted them in the yard once I was gone and had buried the seeds so when I came back it looks as if they sprouted. We still have a videotape of him tricking me, what a jerk huh.

when i was young, i used to think that my doll and stuffed animals and sheets and pillows and the stuff on my dresser would get cold at night. so i decided that each one should get a chance to sleep under my blankets to get warm one night a week. that lead to crowded beds, and sometimes, i even slept on the floor. I believed that my pillow and sheets had the highest standards, so they could get two nights a week.

when i was little i used to believe that everytime i wasn't looking my teddy bears would come to life and start moving and talking.
Me and my friend were always strong believers in stuff that gave you luck. My parents told me that if you looked close enough you would be able to find a 4 leaf clover in our back garden. It was a huge garden and me and my friend never foun one... even though we spent all day looking for one (we did find an easter egg from the easter hunt a few days before though!)
When I was about 5, I got a Cabbage Patch Kids doll. She had red hair, and I once heard my mom refer to it as "Fire Red" hair. I made my cabbage patch sleep under the covers because I was worried that if her hair showed, it would catch the room on fire when I was asleep.
When I was little, around three, I was really concerned about what I wanted to be when I grew up. So, one day, I stood in front of the mirror and said to it
"I am going to be pretty, I am going to be atheletic, I am going to be smart" I said these things over and over. When I did go to school, it happened to be a very small school and I became my main three wishes compared to everyone else there. I believed this until year 8 when I went to a bigger high school and relized it mustn't have worked. I never gave my secret away though.
When i was smaller (though i havent grown much) i used to think when i left my room, all my toys would come alive and talk to each other and ply games. I even used to try to sneak in to catch them talking to each other. As youve probably guessed, i never suceeded.
i thought the world was controlled like a BIG BIG doll house. that a little girl was in control of EVERYONE and EVERYTHING. so when we went driving in the car i would constantly look out the window and try to get a look the top of our car (thinking there was going to be her hand). so one day i told my mom what i thought and she just laughed and said that i was right. thanks to her i still sometimes think it's true!
When I was growing up I use to think that if I put my Cabbage Patch dolls in my closet overnight, in the morning they would be real and then I could have a little sister.
I used to believe I was the only "real" person in the world, and everyone else was either made up by my mind or were programmed "robots" that just revolved around me.
I was a rather philosophical child.
For a long time I wondered if, perhaps, I was a character in a book, TV show, movie, etc. Not even the main character. After all, fictional characters rarely seemed to know that they weren't real, so how would I? I always wondered about the lives of whoever was reading/watching, and was of course deathly afraid of "The End."

I believed that all of my toys came alive when i was out of the house & had parties, but then again, I think most kids used to believe this.
On the commercials for the game 'Trouble', they would show kids sitting around the board, pressing the little dome that the dice were in, and then suddenly they'd all pop out of their chair and laugh and giggle and have fun. I used to believe that this actually happened when you pressed the little dome. I wanted the game for a long time, and I played it at my cousin's house sometimes. But every time I pressed the dome, I wouldn't pop up and laugh and giggle and have fun, so I was convinced that his set wasn't working correctly. I never did buy the game.
My parents could not afford a girls bike for me which made me very sad. When I was about 6 yrs old. I told myself I could ride my brothers bike. I slipped my right foot under the bar over to the right petal pushed the bike along until I got on a good roll and put my left foot on the other petal. With persistance and many tears, scraped knees and bruises.."I mastered riding my brother's bike "from the side"...my parents, neighbors clapped and whistled as I would ride up and down our block. What a sight that must have been!
I used to have this toy shaped as a ice-cream, which had a foam ball as the ice-cream. If you press a button on the side of the cone, it would shoot the ice foam ball into the air. It was attached to a piece of string and would only go about 3 metres in the air, but at 6 years old, that was very high. I then had the bright idea of asking my dad if he could cut the string off, so when i pressed the button it'll shoot slightly high into the air.
His response was:
'I can't cut the string off James because when you press the button, the ice cream with shoot out into space and hit the moon and turn it off, and we don't want that to happen, do we'.
I BELEIVED HIM! I really wanted to do it but was petrified of turning the big light off in the sky!!
When I was a little girl I believed that my dolls came to life every night after I had fallen asleep. I believed that they lived in a doll land between the walls in my house. Sometimes I would try to see it by peering into the cracks in the plaster in my bedroom closet.
I use to believe that all my dolls, and stuffed animals got up everynight when I would go to sleep and have tea parties, hang out together as friends, and get into mischief like in the movie "Toy Story".
When I was little I loved to collect those erasers that smelled like fruit or candy or what have you. I noticed that over time the scent would fade and I thought it was because of people sniffing them too much, so when my friends sniffed them, I made them exhale through their noses back onto the eraser so they could "give back" the scent
When I was four I went with my family to attend an open house for my sister's brownie troop. They had refreshments, including brownies and kool-aid. After the evening was over and we were on our way home I announced to everyone that when I was old enough I was going to be a Kool-Aid Scout. Everyone laughed, and I still getted ribbed about that one, 25 years later.

When I was 5 or 6 stuffed animals would talk and move around at night.
