I used to believe…

When i was a little kid i found a video on youtube of someone playing a guitar and singing in German. I thought he was speaking gibberish until i showed my mom the video and she told me he was speaking German. For a long time, i thought that german was the language of germs and that he was singing a song about germs(since i didn't understand the song)

I used to think that the number 8 was a boy and that 7 was a girl

I used to believe that L-M-N-O-P was 1 letter, pronounced elemenopee

I used to think that there was a letter called elemento P, because in the alphabet song they sing "H-I-J-K-elemento P", and i wondered what "elemento" meant!

I used to think that N was a special letter because it was in the alphabet song twice(L-M-N-O-P and W-X-Y-N-Z)

I used to believe that LMNOP in the alphabet song was "elemental p" and i didn't understand why it was "elemental" p and what elemental means

I used to think that there were 2 N's in the alphabet (X, Y, N, Z) and i wondered why they did that. A few years later, i discovered they said "and" not "N"

I used to think that fetish meant phobia. I was afraid of bare feet and when i told people i had a feet fetish, they would take their shoes off and stick their feet in my face which freaked me out. I just thought that they did that to scare me, because i didn't know what a fetish was. That was in 3rd grade, when i didn't know that much about fetishes

I thought the British town Reading was pronounced "Reeding" instead of "Redding".

I used to think the LMNOP part of the alphabet was, elemenopee.

I used to believe that a germaphobe was a "germanphobe", someone who is scared of Germans. I overheard a conversation between my mom and someone on the phone and she said "germaphobe". I would wonder why someone would be scared of Germans, maybe because of their accent or something. I dunno
