A friend once told me at the age of 5 that the biggest number was called 'infinitytrouble' (?). When I told this to my sister (who is ten years older than me), she didn't believe me, and told me that there wasn't a biggest number at all, and I didn't believe her.

When we learned how to spell out numbers, I had the weirdest problem where I thought they were spelled like '6ix' or '5ive' or '9ine' or '7even' etc. I couldn't see the error at all. I still think they look good that way.

since i was about eight or nine, whenever i'd look at the door entering the parking lot of my apartment, i read ELETRIC CAUTION DOOR( it was a circle shaped sticker that was glued onto that door, and it said those words in that exact order)
i didn't realize that it was CAUTION ELECTRIC DOOR, until my dad pointed that out

When I was younger I thought that the word 'satin' was 'satan'. My entire family is made up of Chirstians so I was very confused as to why people bought things that had 'satan' in them. Who labels that satan is in a product anyway?! I believed this until I was about 7 and I miss read it to my grandmother who laughed and told me what it really was.

Whenever we travelled to the States, I thought that "Exxon" (like on the gas station signs) was how Americans spelled "Esso," which made me believe that Americans spoke a different language than Canadians.

When I was a kid, I would read product labels. I noticed that a lot of the glass bottles had "ME 5c Deposit" written on them.
I was a really screwed up kid. I knew what bad grammar was *before* I learned that states had abbreviations.
So, I would wonder why they didn't write "I am a 5c deposit," instead of talking like a caveman.

I'm from south west wales, and here we learn and speak welsh on a par with english. Because of the interuse of both languages i would some times get confused.
For instance the word "moron" in Welsh just means a carot, so i could never understand how calling somebody a type of vegetable was insulting.
