For the longest time, I thought the word "thorough" was just poeple spelling "through" incorrectly. I don't even know when I finally figured it out.

For the longest time I could never keep the paparazzi and Pavarotti straight...
By longest time, I mean my friends were making fun of me in Jr. High.
So I finally got it right, and declaired that the paparazzi was the bastard child of Pavarotti and Liberace.

When I was in Kindergarten I had come home one day yelling,"mommy mommy Sapir(my friend) said the f word. My mom said,"what did she say" and I said,"Sapir said stupid".

When I was little i thought lb for pounds was pronounced lubs, and i called them that for 2 years.

Our French teacher always reminded us that "poisson" (meaning fish) had 2 "s"s. If we only put one "s", it was "poison". I took her literally, in that I thought if I spelled the word with one "s", the word would somehow turn poisonous. I never worked out the logistics on that.

My family has owned a condo for my whole life and one time we were going to visit there my little brother told our teachers that we were going to our condom.

When i was younger, i had alot of trouble pronouncing the word vagina, i used to think it was Jemima!!! My grandmother who was working for clinpath at the time thought it was hilarious and told all the staff at her work!! They thought it was gold and the vagina swabs were renamed in my honour to jemima swabs!!! i must have been a pretty confused kid watching playschool though!!

when i was a kid i lived where people spoke both french and english...
i fully believed until i hit Jr High school, that the people who understood french were really hearing it in english in thier heads and i just wasn't given the translator

when my 3rd grade teacher taught us about geometry she gave us little tips for remembering which one was which.

acute is "a cute" and little angle



when i associated anything with cute those days it was bunnies.

i do not know why.


well when u make an angle you know you have to make a square(for a right angle) or a curved line(for acut and obtuse angles), i always tried to find the little bunnies and neon open signs inside of the angles on tests.

When I was in first grade (1995) I had read the book "Shiloh" (Bad idea). After reading it, I was terrified Judd Travers (Bad guy from the story) would come into my house and shoot my beagle. I belived this until 3rd grade, when I realized it was just a story.

for the longest time i didn't know the difference between the word hangover and hangnail. man is that embarassing

i was on a ferry with my family and i saw something in the water. i asked my mom what it was and she said "they're buoys" (she pronounced it 'boys') to which i replied "if they're boys, where's all the girls??!!"

when i was a little kid, i was playing catch for the first time. when i missed a catch, my mom said, "now, keep your eye on the ball!" i grabbed the ball and stuck it directly on my face, right up against my eye!! (that's a case of taking orders too seriously...)

When i was 9 i used to believe that shiites was prounounced @#&*ies. So when i asked my mom whats the difference between the @#&*ies and the sunnis was, she sent me to my room without dinner. The next day i asked my bestfriend what she thought i had done to upset my mother. She told me my mother was probably offended that i didn't know what the difference was(she believed thats how you pronounced it too). Until i was about 12 i believed i was either a @#&* or a sunni but i didnt want to offen my mom again by asking.

One time, my mom said "Come put on your bathing suit." and i heard "come put on your baby suit." And i screamed "NO! I'M NOT A BABY!"

I used to believe that several and couple meant the same thing. (example: several things versus a couple of things) I was always confused why when I asked for a couple of things that I would be given only 2 every time. LOL!!!

I used to belive the alphabet had the letter N twice and never understood why? One I was asked to write out the alphabet...L M N O...X Y N Z...you know X Y AND("n") Z. The teachers laughe, but I thought they were all stupid and ingnorant for not speaking properly.

When I was young I used to think a prostitue was someone that gives you good deals, when I was out shopping I got alot of candy for a sweet deal and turned round to the man and said "Your the best Prostitute ever!" As I left the shop many people looked at me...

i used to believe that every1 had there own language. so if i talked to my m8 they wuld hear wat i sed in there own lanuage but i relized every1 spoke english.
