I used to think elemeno was one letter, so when my preschool teacher was teaching us letters, I remember raising my hand and asking, "What about elemeno?" I also thought it was Y-and because of the song.

When I was 5, I thought a calendar was called a counter

I used to believe the word seal had two different spellings. If you mean the animal, you'd spell it "seal" and if you mean the rubber band thing used to close lids, you spell it "seel".

I'm from a country that speaks Spanish, so as a little kid I didn't understand English much. So one day during summer when a was 6 and visiting the U.S.A I was in the car with my mother, grandmother, cousin, and sisters, we made a stop to a McDonald's with a play place, so they let us play in the play place. I wanted to know how to communicate with the American kids while playing with them, so I went like "AAAAAA NO FHSJSJSJDISMNEJM" because that apparently sounded English to me. I left several of them confused.

I used to believe that "paparazzi" was a Italian word that chefs said when they were making pizza. I stopped believing when my mother and my sister were talking about paparazzis. I asked what it meant, and they said that it is a photographer who takes pictures of famous people.

I used to think that letters each had their own personalities, and that the small letters were baby versions of big letters. A was a girl, and B was a boy for some reason. Q was an O that had a penis. My child imagination was really strange!

I heard the word "pundit" a lot when my parents watched the news, and figured it must be a type of comedian who used puns all the time. I thought it was short for "pun bandit".
