I used to believe that people from England spoke an ancient language that wasn't English, kind of like how the Irish used to speak Galic, and that the English language was a relatively new language.

My dad was teaching me how to count to 10 in spanish. Well, I kept on getting confused. I would say --by the way i have no idea how to spell in spanish--"uno, dose, threse, quatro, cese(which is 6), ciete, nueve, cinco(which is 5), diese!" and I would clap for myself afterwards. I was so proud!

Just this past summer I was visiting my father for acouple nights . We were at his girlfriends house and i was swimming with her children (Jamie 11 and Luke 9 ) (Im 13 by the way)...I told Jamie that my friend Amanda could speak swahili she was amazed and asked how I knew this .I told her that my friend had taught me some and asked if she wanted to know how to say something . She said yes immediatley and so i told her that mwa-haggi meant hello . She believed me and still does ( I never told her I was joking ) lol

I used to believe that all languages were based off of english. One day, i saw a japanese girl reading a book in japanese and told her: "you japanese people must be really stupid cuz our language looks nothing like that!" she was very upset and i told her that it wasnt my fault i was american, i was just more special. then she got really mad!
