i used to believe that if i trod in the lines in the pavement that the bears would come out and get ME !!!!!!
I used to believe that Sailor Moon was a real person, and that the sailor scouts were going to come get me if I was good enough. Every time it snowed I thought Sailor Pluto was getting closer. I had an entire diary devoted to how I would look once I transformed into a sailor scout. :p And I honestly thought it was true.
I woke up early one christmas and was looking outside my window. I thought I saw santa fly across the moon in his sleigh, so I woke my older cousin up and told her, she wasn't too happy.(I think it may have been leaves swaying in the breeze)

When I was little i believed that there where monsters who would walk around the house and come and kidnapp me and my favorite toys, so i would tie string up and down the stair case so the would trip or get tangled any time they tried to come up stairs. I aalso tied my favorite toys to my wrists and tie myself to my bedposts.

When I was 4, I was convinced there was a murderous lamb living in my bedroom wall just waiting to kill me. Everyday I had my dad "Bless" my room with holy water to protect me.

My elementery school was named after Rachel Carson, and everyone said her ghost haunted the school. I was convinced she was burried in the basement, so i went up to the principle and said
"i know that Rachel Carson is burried in the basement." She just looked at me funny and said
"we dont have a basement."

When i was about eight, i saw Peter Pan for the first time. I was convinced that he and Tinkerbell existed. I tried to fly by sprinkling "pixie dust" (ice cream sprinkles) on my head and jumping off the couch. I even taped a note on my window telling Peter that i was ready to go to neverland but i would have to tell my mom first.

One time, when I was younger (10-11), I went with my mom to the store in town at night. We took a back road because it was quicker. It just so happened that the road went by my town's cemetary. Back then I always watched ghost shows like Truth or Scare so when I saw 'balls of light' out in the cemetary I thought immediately that they were spirit orbs. (balls of light made by ghosts). They even seemed to follow the truck and stopped when we got past the cemetary. The next day I told EVERYBODY that I had seen ghosts. A few weeks later, my dad took me through the cemetary even though I was crying for him not to. It turned out that the 'spirit orbs' were only the lights on the truck reflecting off the shiny grave stones. I was so embarrassed!

When i was young my friend told me she saw a truck thats had easter eggs painted on it. She saw a huge pink bunny hop out, go in her house and then put some chocolate eggs in a basket. Then he hopped in his truck and drove away. We both used to belive after that o well we were young and childish.

My mom came down the stairs to see me planted in a 'Little Tykes' plastic chair in front of a light socket. She asked me about it, and I told her that I was waiting for Santa to come out. I was a little confused.

I thought the boogey monster was a monster that ate boogers at night in front of you
I had a square light cover on my overhead light in my room when I was six-ish. When the lights were off and my eyes adjusted, it looked light the square was slowly growing larger (some sort of trick of the eyes..) I thought there was a ghost in the light all cramped up trying to get out, and if he did, he would eat/kill/maim/etc me.
Also, like most children, I believed in monsters in my closet. To this day (many years later) I refuse to sleep with my closet door open. It has to be FIRMLY shut.

When I was little, I had an imaginary friend that lived in the woods beside my house. He was an old man with a long beard and all white hair. He was really sweet but he had a whole lot of snakes so I called him the snake man. I can't remember when I stopped going into the woods to see him, but I can say still to this day that I remember exactly what he looks like. Just like you remember people you really meet.

My Dad hat trouble getting me and my bigger brother to sleep.. so one night he told us that Mr scissors and Mr Hammer would come and kill us if we wernt sleeping after 5 minutes of being in bed...
Well.. Needless to say, I slept...
I found out it wasnt true when i was ill and couldnt sleep the whole night... i was so scared...
I went to catholic school and when I was in kindergarden our teacher told us that all children have guardian angels to protect them. Later on I fell in the playground and scraped my knee. When I went home I told my mom about what had happened and that I wanted to get a new guardian angel because mine wasn't doing his job. I obsessed about this for some time, every time I bumped into something, or fell I'd think "I need a new guardian angel!!"
I used to believe…
If there hadn't been any rain in a while, the ground at my school would dry up and form large cracks.
I was sure that a little gnome family lived underground and I would go into the playground and lie down and talk to them through the cracks.
I also push food down their and write little notes for them.
Some of my friends were convinced it was true too and we did this every year until we were about 11.
I used to believe that all the fairies in our garden were homeless and starving, so I make them little houses in the trees and left pieces of bread out for them.
