Everyone knows you're supposed to leave milk and cookies out for Santa. My parents convinced me that I should leave hard-boiled eggs out for the Easter Bunny too, or I wouldn't get any candy. One Easter morning, I was surprised to find the egg shell left where the egg had been, along with a thoughtful thank-you note from the Easter Bunny! However, I quickly recognized the Easter Bunny's handwriting as my mom's, and my illusions were shattered right then and there.

My parents realized that I was a messed-up kid when my imaginary friend died.

When i was about 8 or 9, i told my sister who was about 5 or 6, that there was a girl who lived in England, but she would visit our nieghbors and come over to our house, so i would tell my sister that i had to go to the bathroom, but i would really change clothes and my hair and come out and talk with a British accent and pretend i was "Amanda" the girl from England! My sister believed it until i told her when she was about 11!

When i was about 5 we had a big family christmas eve and christmas day. there was a satellite passing over so my mother and aunties decided they would help us believe (and try and get us to go to bed earlier i think) by finding some bells and yelling oh my its santa. So up until i was about 12 i believed there was santa flying over and that i saw his sleigh.

When I was a kid, I would sleep with the covers pulled over my head to hide from the dinosaurs. I thought they hid during the day and came out at night to eat you. I don't know where something that big could hide during they day, but as a child things don't always have to make sense, obviously!

My father was a pianist who loved to play boogie-woogie. I also had friends who were afraid of the boogieman. I spent several confused years wondering why on earth anyone would be afraid of a piano player.

When I was younger I would walk up stairs from a dark room waving my arms behind me because I thought it was protecting me from the monsters and ghosts that lived in the dark.

When I was around six and my sister was 8, we both had imaginary friends (as I recall, they were friends.) My sister's was named Charlotte, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and mine was named Lucy, with brown hair and blue eyes. I remember I would go into the bathroom, and there was mirrors across from it, and I would wonder why she wasn't with me in my reflection...I eventually convinced myself that she was staying inside the bedroom for my privacy. I don't remember what happened to Charlotte, but I eventually got tired of Lucy, and on her birthday (March 16) I decided that she was going to her Grandma's house. I kept waiting for her to come back, but she never did- my sister would ask me periodically, "When is Lucy coming back?" and I would say, "She wants to stay a little longer."
I used to believe that if you looked into a mirror with the lights out, say "Bloody Mary" three times, and throw water at the mirror. In your sleep, she would come to you and wake you up. She would ask you, "Do you know where my husband is?" because as the story goes, her husband cheated on her and ran away with his mistress. If you say no, then she would scratch you for wasting her time. If you said yes, then she would kill you.
One night, I wanted to try it out... nearly scared myself half to death. I went to sleep that night and had a dream that she came to me. I woke up the next morning and noticed a long scratch down my leg. I probably just scratched myself somehow in my sleep, but since then I have been afraid to sleep in a room with a mirror in it by myself.

I once thought that the Easter Bunny could cross over the ocean with one giant hop.
-i used to think that if santa found you awake on christmas eve he would muder you by smothering you in toys.
-one christmas, i got a video camera that you could put somewhere and an antenna adaptor you put in the tv would make whatever you were filming show up on tv.
-the next christmas i hid it in the tree skirt and found out that they had been decieving me.
i was watching lambchops play-along when this woman taught us how to hold a dollar bill upside down amd fold it a few times and unfold it and it would be right-side up again. i didnt know that the folding was what made it flip around. and for years i thought i was magic.
I once told my friend that the long line of trees that was on the common was an invisble gap that if tere was an earthquake it would open up and all the spirits and witcheswould come out!!!
he believed this for six months !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i still think he believesthis now hahahahahahaha!(secretly)
I watched the 1958 movie "The Blob" on TV one Saturday morning with my Mom and Dad. They told me that it was a TRUE story, and that the Blob was alive, but FROZEN at the North Pole. At any point, if it got warm enough, that Blob could defrost its Blobbity self, and Blob its way back down to Pennsylvania (where the movie was supposed to take place, I think, and where I lived at the time) and just Blob its slimy Blobness all over the state and Blob us all to death. I was terrified thinking about that huge Blob just sitting up there, planning its attack.

When I was little, I asked my mom where the Easter Bunny got all the plastic eggs with money in them that he hid in our house. She said that she bought the eggs and left them and some money in the middle of the living room floor, and then when everyone was asleep, the Easter Bunny came and put the money in the eggs and hid them. This answer made perfect sense and I accepted it with no problem.
Later on, I wanted to know where Santa Claus got all the brand-name toys he gave us, because I was sure he couldn't make them at his tinkertoy workshop. I remembered what my mom said about the Easter Bunny and came up with the idea that a few weeks before Christmas, the employees of all the big toy stores would leave out huge piles of toys in the middle of the floor, shut off the lights, and either go in the back room or go home. Then when the coast was clear, Santa would sneak in through the store's ventilation system, wrap up all the toys he needed, and take them back outside in his sack. I thought it was very nice of the toy store people to respect Santa's privacy and help make his job easier like that.

When I was in 2nd grade someone told me the legend. The legend was that if you go into a bathroom, turn off all the lights, and then turn around and say Bloody Mary three times in a row she would come out of the mirror and stab you to death. I kinda believe in it so I don't like to go to the bathroom at night, but I do anyways. It's wimpy but it's the truth.

When I was little my teacher told the class Santa was not real. I remember how crushed I was that day. Little did I know, 4 months later my entire world would come crashing down, when they told me the Easter bunny wasn't real either.

Much Thanks to my kind, loving, uncle:
In the area of my uncles house where the furnace is, there is a little closet door so you cant see the ugly furnace. He says that in that room are the "Furnace People" they are kind of like zombies that live in the furnace. They loved the people who lived in that house and thats it. So any guests would be ripped to pieces. Like, his wifes sister, i called her AUNT michelle anyway, lived with them for a while. When she moved out, he said that the furnace people got her.
He also said that his neighbor's house had "crawlspace people" and at night you could see the two breeds of zombies fighting eachother. they would take pieces of the furnace and the people from the crawlspace would fight with gardening tools. He also said that the crawlspace people were much eviler and that if you didnt sever their heads, they could multiply. so, if you chopped off their arm, they would grow a new one and the arm would grow a new body.
so i always hoped that the furnace people were good at killing the crawlspace people. damn, i was stupid.
