I was so afraid of the tooth fairy, that whenever I lost a tooth, I begged my parents to put it in another room, like the kitchen, instead of under my pillow. I guess I believed she would do something to me, like pull on my hair, and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

I used to think there was a monster that lived at the end of the hall during the night and was mortified to go anywhere near the hallway. I later found out that the noises I was hearing that caused me to believe that, was my dad snoring.

When I was little, I always wondered why Santa was so weird - because he delivered presents to my house, and my uncles' house, and my grandparents' house. I eventually reasoned that Santa must do that so that I wouldn't stay at home all day playing with my presents - that way I would have to go see my family who missed me and wanted to share the special day with me too. :)

I had a whole host of imaginary friends as a child - mostly TV characters, often from Neighbours. I also had an imaginary dog (the golden labrador Bouncer from the Oz soap opera "Neighbours") who I would walk when my grandparents were taking me somewhere.

The embarrassment they suffered when I used to hang back and announce that we had to wait because Bouncer was peeing.

When I was little, we lived overseas. I was just dying to get a Barbie horse for Christmas one year, and I finally got my wish. But something ended up being wrong with it. So I heard my mom on the phone one day saying she needed to return it to JCPenney's. I told her I thought Santa brought it to me - how could it be from the store? After a moment of thought, she replied that Santa and the elves lived at JCPenney, and that's why the JCPenney toy wishbook came to us every year. It made total sense to me.

I used to believe that if you pulled the covers up tight around your neck that vampires wouldn't be able to bite you. I believed this because I thought they would think you were just a head with no body.

There was a forested area behind my back yard when I was a child. One of the largest trees, an oak looked like it had eyes, a nose and a mouth. I used to talk to the tree. It made my childhood memories very magical as everything seemed to be animate in those days

When I was five or six years old, I believed that 6 meter (20 feet) tall human giants really existed. I was scared that giants could walk upto me anytime and attack me. I probably got the thought from hearing the story of Jack and the Beanstalk where there was a giant that lived in a castle up in the clouds. I now know that giants are just imaginary creatures from Norse mythology that were also known as Jotuns.

You know that noise from the bath when you let out all the water?
I used to think they were monsters yelling and if I didn't get out of the bathroom by the time the noise stopped, the monsters would come out and take me down the drain with them.

i used to think my eldest sister was a witch and would spend time looking out of the corner of my eye waiting for her to let her guise slip. It escalated when I grabbed her skin on her face to reveal her true identity. I found no evidence on that occasion but she was quite horrid to me afterwards as I suppose you would be.

When I would be riding along in the car and it was dark outside, I would look far into the distance and see the outline of the trees. But I used to think the dark outlines were monsters and they looked like they were going in the direction of where I was headed. I was always freaked out that one day they'd all be there waiting for me.

When I was several years younger(must've been about 6 or so) and still lived in a house with an upstairs, I used to believe that my parents and sisters were aliens. I would sit on the stairs at night(they were at such an angle that my parents couldn't see me) and wait for them to pull off their masks to reveal their true faces!

I learned about Bloody Mary in 3rd grade. For years I would cover or remove any mirrors from my room eveyr night because I believed she would come outof the mirror and get me while I slept.

My mum told me that Santa Clause has many helpers that would spy on us and if they see or hear me doing anything bad that they will tell santa clause not to come. I also believed that if you left your house in a mess on Christmas night, Santa might trip over your toys and decide to leave without giving me presents. My mum also told me that Santa will check on you just before he gives you presents and if you wake up while he's here, he will run and leave no presents for you. My mum finally told me the truth about Santa Clause when I was twelve and just about to enter high school.

Went I to bed I would cover my mouth with my blanket cause i thought that if i opened or closed my mouth during the night the evil aliens that i thought watched me would think i was talking to them and come out from where they were and i didnt want them too.
It was probably cause i used to watch Mars Attack with my sister.

hahah i think its funny now. i was a messed up kid.
