I used to believe…
There was a game that the girls I knew used to play, called "I believe in Mary Worth." If you repeated that line 50 times in front of a mirror in a darkened room, 'Mary Worth' was supposed to leap out of the glass and cut you to ribbons. Attempting this was supposed to prove your bravery, although noone seemed to get past 49 invocations.
I always thought this reffered to the comic strip dowager, which added a really baffling element to the ritual. (Why would a kindly old lady want to cut me up for believing in her??)

When I was really small, I believed that there are little creatures, living in my bathroom drawer. They were called the Zyziks and they looked like beans covered with short, brown and spiky four. They had stick-like legs with big feets and big, funny noses. They were reall trouble-makers, but I still liked them, becouse they weren't evil - just really clumsy and fun-loving. They wernen't my imaginary fiends, I guess, because they were half-wild. They would always hide, when somone entred the bathroom, and you could never seen them or talk with them. I'm not even sure if they could speak. But my and my mom knew, that they existed ^^

When I was a kid I was really scared of vampires and I though that my mom would change into one! I have no idea where this idea came from but it was giving me a hard time; at _least_ once a day I told my mother to show me her teeth, so I would be sure that they aren't changing into fangs! And it lastet for a pretty long time. My mom was really tiers with this, but she always showed me them, 'couse I just wouldn't let it go.

when I was about 5 or 6 my older cousin first told me about bloody mary. She told me that if u go into the bathroom and spin around 3 times while saying her name she would come out of the mirror and be either holding a bloody knife or her dead baby daughter. If holding the knife she would automatically kill u. If holding the baby she would give it to u and u were to hold it, and if it awoke and started to cry she would still kill u. Since I was young, I wanted to do it really bad, just so I'd look cool to my cousin and her friends. I went in the bathroom alone {because she said it doesn't work with more than 1 person} and did everything she said to do. Then after a 1minute or so, I swear I saw a faint glowing green light coming from the corner of the mirror and when I saw that I went screaming out of the bathroom. Unfornately for me I was at day care and the babies were asleep and I happened to wake them up. Boy was I in trouble! Since then I can never trust my coucin again.

As a kid, my older sisters liked to jerk me around, and one of them told me that santa was buds with jesus. So one year I was writing to santa and I asked my mom, "What should I put on the end?" and she replied, "It's always good to kiss up to santa!" so at the end i put, "give jesus my best"

As a kid I was very aware of money and prices of stuff because my mom had sorta trained me to look for sales when we bought cereal. Anyways, I figured that santa claus couldn't afford all those toys for all those kids and he must've stolen them. So one day my sister was watching a commercial that said, "Report a crime in your area, call the number on the screen!" So I called the number to report santa claus for robbery.

When I was little I believed in santa, but didn't believe that he had toy-making elves because the stuff i got from santa was always brand-name stuff. So for some reason, I figured he had a santa discount at stores so he got toys for free. One day I was at save-on and saw a furby I wanted. I plopped it on the counter and asked the clerk, "What is involved with the santa discount?" She tried not to laugh and said, "They only do that at Thrifty" I, trying to be as grown-up as possible, calmly took the furby back to it's shelf and said, "Thank you for your help"

When I was little I had a dog named heidi. She slept in the living room. We didn't have a chimney, so every X-mas eve, before i went 2 bed, I'd tell her "Heidi, when a fat guy with a beard comes in the front door, don't attack him! It's only santa!"

when i was in 6th grade (i think) while practicing for a school play one day, me and some of the other kids were behind the curtains waiting for our cues to come in, this huge box fell from the top balcony thing and hit a piano. nobody was up there in order to make it fall and as far as i knew no one had been up there in a long time. afterwards the other kids were saying that there was a rumor that someone had been murdered in the audience a long time ago. im in high school now and we've been on stage practicing for the Christmas concert (band and vocal stuff) and every once in a while i could swear that outta the corner of my eye i see some guy sitting in the corner. i still dont believe it tho.
I learned the myth of Blood Mary when I was around 7 or 8. I had heard that if you scratch a mirror in the bathroom three times at the same time as chanting her name three times, she would come out of the mirror or the toilet or the sink and kill you with a rusty old knife. One of my childhood friends (now one of the most annoying "popular" people in highschool) and I went into the bathroom in the elementary school (we were at the After School Program), and we did it. Nothing happened.
Although nothing happened, I was afraid of bathroom for about a year or so, so I'd run away from it as fast I could after slamming the door. This subsided quickly once my mother told me I wasn't going to die from "Bloody Mary."
This fear of anything that can hold water was re-instated after I saw 'The Grudge' in theaters. My friends didn't help very much. Similar to the first fear, this one gradually subsided over a year's time.

when i was about 7 my little sis was 5. i convinced her that i knew some aliens, and when i said 'ding'' i would turn into one of them. there was pepsi who was the nice one who was her friend, the evil queen who would beat her up and be cruel. and then the princess who was always dying so needed all of her sweets/candy to save her. she used to cry if the princess was gonna die so she had to save her and pepsi. i used these characters at my will to get what i wanted from her, and she believed this until she was about 8 or 9. ive asked her in the past why she didnt think it was strange that they always had the same appearance as me?

When I was 7 I used to have an imaginary friend called Calum Butters. I hated him, he was so annoying and pathetic. He'd say stuff and act stupid and I always used to get so angry at him. I hated him so much, but for some reason I could never get rid of him.
One day I was in my room and Calum was there along with loads of other imaginary friends (extras like in Star Trek). We had to defend my bedroom by shooting out the window because we were under attack from other invisible friends that belonged to people from other parts of the country.
We won, but Calum got killed. He never came back. None of them did.
