I learned that if you look into a mirror while holding something red and say bloody mary ten times, she appears in the mirror. one day in third grade my friend anna and i tried it with a pair of gym shorts. of course the lights were out, so we put a boot in the door to make a little light. we ran out screaming, but came back again. we did that every day after school.
i also learned that bloody mary was a real girl who lived a couple hundred years ago. she was in the hayloft of her parents' barn and she fell of it on to the bottom floor. her parents found her and buried her. but when she was in her coffin she woke up because she passed out and started scratching at the coffing and banging, and she pulled her own hair out. eventually she died, but legend has it every time you go near her burial site, weird things happen and you hear banging and screaming noises.

When I was little I asked my korean mother what santa was bringing me, she stared me straight in the eyes and say "Santa Claus? He is Dead."
I used to think Santa was a creepy ghost
I used to believe in the "Bloody Mary" stories. If you went into the bathroom and shut the door so it was dark, closed your eyes and said 'Bloody Mary 3 times, when you opened your eyes you would see her in the mirror with a knife. I was so scared of the bathroom as a kid I would send my lil' brother in to turn the light on for me before I would go in.
I had imaginary friends when I was about 3 years old....they were twins named Ging & Gong....I talked to them and imagined that the replied....Mommy actually set places at the dinner table for them!
It must be hereditary....my son had an imaginary friend when he was about the same age....a truckdriver named Charlie who lived in the corner of our living room....he has startled guests many times by yelling, "be careful! don't step on Charlie!" Charlie also ate meals with us.

When I was very young(about 6) I used to sneek out my window and play in the fields behind my house. To stop me my mother pointed to the wind blowing through the trees and told that was "The Wind Monster" I never snuck out again.

My brother had an imaginary friend named Rogney until he was about 10. When he desided to not play with Rogney anymore, we had a going away party (my brother, sister, and I) and at the end of the party we opened the closet door and waved goodbye to Rogney, as the closet was the entrance to "Imaginaryland", where Rogney lived.

When I was about 4, I would always make a wall of pillows around my bed leaning against the bed frame to protect myself from monsters. I had one pillow with my name stitched in it which I had to throw off my bed before I went to sleep because it acted as a labeling sign like the ones at grocery stores. If I didn't take it off, I was sure the monsters would eat me.

when i was about 5, i thought that the tooth fairy was "soooooooo small" that " she could magically fit through the teeny tiny holes in my window screen." (That is, until, i found the box of teeth in my mom's dresser drawer)

For many years, I was scared to be upstairs in the dark because two murderers named Vinnie and Jack lived on the upstairs floor and were invisible except for when it was dark and I was upstairs. I thought everybody was out to get me back then...
I used to think my mom was a witch because whilst sitting at a red light she would always know exactly when it would turn green and I assumed she was doing it with her witch powers. I was dumbfounded for the longest time until I started driving and realized you could glean this information from the walk/don't walk signs.
I used to believe I had a money ghost in my child hood home. Simple because I would found money around. Not just penny's or dimes but things like half dollars. Too bad his not around any more, I could use him!
I always believed in Santa until I was probably about seven. I only found out because "Santa" had brought me Spanish Monopoly. And my mom conveniently had the charge receipt to do the return at KMart. Suspicious? I think so! It still took me a couple of intense question and answer sessions with my mom before I could fully accept the fact that SHE bought the game and that Santa wasn't real.

When I was 11 I was so obbsessed with Peter Pan, Neverland, and Tinkerbell that I would actually look on this HUGE map every night trying to find the direction to Neverland, which I never seemed to...even though I one time got the Netherlands mixed up with Neverland, but, anyway, I was so crazy that I would always check my seat before sitting down because "I didn't want to sit on Tinkerbell..." or any fairy fot that matter! I would also keep myself up late at night to see that Peter Pan would come and take me to Neverland, but, occasionally, I would fall asleep.
My little story will always have a place on my map...in my heart.

i always thought people were selected to get imaginary friends. all of my friends had an imaginary friend, i thought because it was a birthday present. but i never had an imaginary friend
I had an imaginary friend called Columbia who was a very important and busy woman. She would only visit occasionally. When NASA launched Columbia I was amazed that she was that famous that they would name a spaceship after her. I still don't know what Columbia really is but I always think of my friend when I see something about it.

When I was in Kindergaten or first grade, I took the bus to school. My bus stopped at the train tracks and opened its doors to let my imaginary friend Isabell in. She would sit by me, but we wouldn't talk.
I used to believe that the tooth fairy lived in my door-latch. I had asked my dad one day and he said so (probably because he couldn't think of anything, and he was standing by the door-latch). And for years, every time I walked past it, I would try to see if I could get a glimpse of the tooth fairy.

When I was in grade 3 i had an imaginary pet unicorn named Crystal she used to hide under my desk at school. And when it was lunch time i used to throw little bits of food to her so she wouldn't get hungry. The teacher never quite understood why there was always such a big mess under my desk by the end of the day.
I used to believe that if you looked in a mirror and said "bloody mary 1 2 3" 3 times, that you would be sucked into this world when you fell asleep and they would rip your hair out & cut you in pieces
