I used to believe that Sacagewea on the Sacegewea Dollar coin was the tooth fairy!! My parents always put those under my pillow so I thought that was her own currency.

I used to believe…
When i was really young i used to have two imaginary friends. Shomes and Kano. So once i was moving with my family and when we were about half way two our house (which was like 2 hrs away) i started to scream, and when my parents asked what was wrong i told them that i had left Shomes and Kano at our old house and we had to go back to get them. So my dad drove all the way back to our old house, straped in my imaginary friends (seat belts and all) cause i wanted them to be safe, and they didn't talk to me for all of the rest of the car ride.
Then there was my other imaginary friend who ran away because i wanted to change my name to rainbow named, Thomas.

When I was young, we moved to the country. Whenever farmers fertilized the fields, I was convinced that aliens had landed and released toxic nerve gas that only affected your nose. I told no one, afraid they would take me if I squealed.

Once when I was little I thought I would make a present to give back to the tooth fairy to thank her for all the money she gave me. I made a little backpack out of leaves and sellotape so that she could carry the teeth she collected in it, then wrapped it up and put it beside my bed.

I used to believe that if I went to sleep without my neck covered, vampires would suck my blood in the night.

When I was really young my brother was really into Goosebumps books. I would always look at the covers and the only one that creeped me out was the one with the dummy used but a vantrillaquist. I never wanted to be alone, thinking it was right behind me getting ready to scare the death out of me, so i would always turn around just to be safe.

For about a week I thought that I was possessed by a ghost because I kept having laughing fits for no reason and couldn't stop for about two hours each time. I even convinced my little brother and his friends that I was and they tried to help exorcise it.
I had an imaginary friend called Frank. He was a pink flying unicorn even though I wasn`t into that kinda stuff. He looked really girly but if anyone said that he would REALLY beat them up.I used to let him in my bed at night, because I was afraid of the dark and he made me feel safe.We don`t talk too much anymore,(we do talk though)but I know he`s still there...

My dad used to nibble the carrots that I left out for the Easter Bunny. It always thrilled me to imagine this huge white bunny hunched over the kitchen table, eating my carrots (I even started peeling them for him)
I used to believe that there were keepers of the night. I had a very active imagination, and thought that they did things like... have spray cans full of dust & lightly spray it over everything.... spray the lawn down with little water bottles to make dew. This didn't scare me at all, mind you, it felt like the right order of things.

When I was a kid, I had two major imaginary friends, that is, ones that lasted more than a couple days. One was Tia, a red dragon that looked out for me and taught me how to swim, and at night she would stretch one wing over me so I would be warm. Tia lasted three years, and then one day she died. I found her body at the park and cried for three days. (I had a vivid imagination). Then, there was Charlie DeSablo, who was a guy the same age as me, with blond hair and sunglasses who always drank martinis because he was immune to alcohol. He was the subsitute devil and had once dated Marylin Monroe, and knew everything. Contrary to his description, he was a rather nice guy. One day he decided to go see Europe, and he hasn't come back yet. He took my toothpaste.

When I was young, I had a room that was high off the ground, and the window ledge was about ten feet from the ground. I used to think that skeletons were hanging by their finger tips outside the window and as soon as I fell asleep they would climb in to take my skin. I always used to open the window before bed and then throw things at the bottom of it to try and hit their fingers to break their grip. I don't know what started this, but it persisted until I was nine.

When I was little, I thought that my real parents were aliens and that they had to leave me here because they were at war (that's what my mom told me). So every night I would look out the window and hope that they would come back for me someday. I would cry about it a lot, wondering why they didn't want me anymore.

When I was 5 or so, I used to be afraid of the dark. To calm my nerves I thought of a little friend. He was a good ghost, that looked a little like the full moon. His name was Stefanus. He would sit on the windowsill at bedtime watching over me while I slept and when I had to walk hame in the dark he would hold my hand.
Only when there was a full moon he would slip way and play in the toilet, splashing the water. Whenever I saw the moon was full I'd make sure to leave the toilet lid up so he could play.
Stefanus was a good friend for a long time, he grew up as I did, became a person who'd always listen to me in puberty, was a shoulder to cry on when I was heartbroken. He allways understood me and it was comforting to know that there was at least one person that loved me as I was.
In the first year I had a car, I was driving some friends home and almost had an accident. I remember imagining a flash of white light that kept the two cars apart - I smiled because I immediately thought of my good old friend Stefanus.
I still like to leave the toilet lid up when there's a full moon - even if Stefanus is only make believe, it's nice to think that he might pop round to see an old friend and play in the toilet like he used to.

We had a big pine table in our kitchen, and I used to believe there were these little animals that lived in the knots called 'oi-ee's. Oi-ees were bone-shaped, with a little smily face at the top. They were perfectly friendly, and didn't frighten me at all.

As a child I caught a glimpse of a Hammer Horror film as I was going to bed, a scene where Dracula latched himself to some maiden's neck.
For years after that I could only sleep if the covers covered my neck.
I used to believe there were two witches in my room when i went to bed;one far under my covers constantly trying to eat my feet and another flying around my room.
I used to believe that Harry Houdini, the magician, was buried in my front yard. I would go there and ask his ghost to give me magical powers too. Man did I get some weird looks from my neighbors.

When I was ten I used to see little spots of lights "walking" across the ceiling. I thought it was a ghost of a baby, leaving its footprints as it passed through my room. I later worked out that when a car passed by our house at night, the lights would move through gaps in our venetian blinds and cause the ghostly reflections on our ceiling.
