Where i grew up it always rained at christmas time, so my mum used to tell us kids that the thunder we heard was santa coming across the clouds. I belived her for quite a while.

When I was younger, I used to watch a show on TV called "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" One day, there was an episode about a vampire. I was all alone, so when I saw it I got very scared. I thought to myself, I must protect myself and my family from this menace. So I went to the spice cabinet, grabbed the garlic powder, and sprinkled it all around the house. And I mean everywhere. When my mom got home from work, she wondered why her bed was all itchy.

When my great grandpa died I saw him in his casket and I thought that he was going to wake up and be a vampire.
I used to believe dragons were real. My logic was: I knew knights were real, so if there were no dragons, what did the knights do? Who did they save the princesses from? In 2nd grade I made a comment on how something or other was one of those things we would never know about for sure, like dragons. My teacher sure had fun with that one.

I used to believe that the tooth fairy used teeeth as money, and I began to worry that if she got poor, she might steal all my teeth through the night.

At Stillag (my grandparents old house) there was this thing that went on top of the chimney. I didn't know how Father Christmas could get down there, so I came up with the conclusion that he made himself really small to get there.
I used to belive that fairies lived inside lavenders but they were so small you couldn't see them. And if a bee ever came near you they would give you 50pence under your pillow.

This is sort of embarrasing, but i used to have an imaginary friend that was a girl and i named her Chachi LaBamba. (I dont have any clue where I got the name) But i remember one christmas when i was about 3 and i was sitting on the couch (with Chachi) and my cousin was opening his gifts and he got a cassette tape and played it and the song LaBamba just happened to come on. I was so excited that someone had written a song about my imaginary friend and promptly told my cousin, who then called me stupid.
That was the last day I ever saw Chachi... :(
I used to have an imaginary friend when I was 3 and we used to play ball and he would always win. He was really tall and would make fun of me( I can't remember his name). One day we were outside and he spotted the kid across the street and said he wanted to play with him instead. I said ok I'll see you later and he said yeah whatever loser. That for some reason was before my first day of preschool.

When I was in secand grade, my sister told me that the fireflys were faeries. Of course, I belived her. One day I caught one, and showed my sister. She told me it would put a curse on me. I got so scared I slept in my closet.
I used to believe Santa was a locally elected person who used municipal funds, a kid gift database, and a master key to all the homes in the city. I figured reindeer can't fly, and that it is implausible for 1 guy to get around the whole world in one night when it takes two days to get to Wyoming. And yet I had incontrovertible evidence of his existence in the form of a blue bike. I assumed they just put details about his election in the Metro section where no kid would ever see it, and he had a code name like "AlderMan."

When my little brother was about 4 years old, whenever he did something that I didn't like, I would tell him that I have a magical spell to make a monster appear in the closet. And then I would say the "magical spell" inky pinky medusa. Then I will tell him that the monster is this ugly face woman with snakes all over her head for hair and she would have her snakes bite him...he would do what ever I tell him...he's 15 and still believes I have magical spells.

When I was younger, I would play with marbles. But not in the normal way, oh no, not me. I would play with the marbles like other kids play with action figures. I would assign them names and personalities. I would form armies of marbles, and they would fight amongst each other to tragic ends. But sometimes, they would all band together to battle the Lego armies. I've come to the conclusion that I was either exquisitely creative or horribly disturbed.
I used to have an imaginary friend named Eryka (air-ick-uh). she lokked like a nine year old cheerleader with cat ears and tail. when she gets really mad at people, she hisses and tries to scratch them. I still have her, but she lives in a house in another town.
I used to belive that when I had nightmares about the wolfman, frankenstein, dracula, etc... and was truly scared when I woke up. I would be sick the next morning. I usually was.

When I was a kid one of my hands was my best friend Ralphie and the other hand was an evil creature called Snaky. I would talk with them and use my hands like in a puppet to have them talk back. Ralphie could make cute noises that could get us out of trouble. Snaky just hissed and attacked things. My parents sent me to a counselor who told them that having imaginary friends was a sign of intelligence. I wonder what he would say now, now that I'm 39 and still use the characters to annoy my wife. Ralphie still gets me out of trouble with his cute noises, but my wife hates Snaky since he prefers to feed on boobs.
