When i was about five i had a really scary dream i thought this charactor from a video game came turned into an aligator and was swimming in my backyard that turned into a lake he ate my flesh off the bone and my shoe. Then i woke up i checked to see if my shoe was still there then i slept with my shoes in my room for about 3 months

After watching a crazy TV show, I believed that aliens were real. I still have a little fear of them.

When I was younger, we always had one specific room that the christmas tree was always in. My mom never really liked the location, so one year, she moved the tree into another room in a whole different side of the house. I was convinced that santa would not know where the tree was and would get lost in our house. I was worried he would be mad and would not give me any gifts because he couldn't find the tree and put be on the "bad" list. I came up with the brilliant idea to make signs leading from the fire place to the tree. They said stuff like "Tree this way" or "Santa, put the gifts over here." When my big brother saw them he started laughing his head off and i had no idea why, and it was only a few years that I realized why.

You HAVE to love little kids. :-)

My niece is three, and for the next few months will be an only child. When my sister first tried to explain to her that she would have a little brother or sister soon, she explained in great detail that she already had sisters. She tells everyone about how she has sisters, and they all have totally unpronouncable (to the rest of the family, who all speak in distinct Texan drawls) names full of rolling r's. One of her teachers at preschool is bilingual and has been teaching the children some basic Portugese (like the Spanish lessons on Sesame Street), so we think she is incorporating her Portugese lessons into her make-believe, which is really cool.

I'll admit to this but i actually believed in Santa Claus until I was 11 i think. Every christmas i would get excited becuase I thought santa would be given me christmas presents as my parents would always say. I would write to him saying what i wanted and my parents would write back saying if he could get them or not. My name would also be put down at the end and i was happy that he knew my name. We always put mince pies for him to eat and milk for his raindeers to drink. Sometimes a note would be there for us apparently from Santa thanking him for the mince pies and milk. I was happy back then as i thought it was Santa thanking us. Then one christmas, my mother spoiled the fun when she told me Santa wasnt real. How she upset me that day!

i had an imaginary friend who lived in my babysitter's bathtub. he couldn't get out because he was severly obese. i could only talk to him while i was going to the bathroom

When I was little, I used to believe (along with all the other kids on my street) that the Boogey Man was a monster made out of green, slimy, disgusting boogers. He didn't live in our closets, but underground. If you were outside, you'd have to be careful and watch for a large lump under the dirt tunneling after you. If he got close enough, he'd reach his hand up through the earth, grab you, and drag you under. We always thought we saw him coming for us, and we'd all freak out and run home as fast as we could, screaming at the top of our lungs.

I used to be utterly freaked out by the dark. I would stand at my room door, flick off the switch and run as quick as my little legs could take me to the living room where mummy and daddy were watching television. I knew I could not turn back, or trip, or be slow as the skeletons chasing me would catch up and eat me.

My sister convinced me that a monster was trying to claw it's way out of the little attic door in my bedroom. I would lay there at night with the covers pulled over my head hoping that it wouldn't see me.

When i was little i had an imaginary friend named Emile, i used to believe that he was what i would be like if i was a boy instead of a girl which is why his name is Emile because i thought it sounded like my name except for a boy. However i went a little over board with the whole imaginary friend thing when i gave my pet mouse (Nibbles) an imaginary friend/ baby named Chesley (dont ask how i got the name, i dont remember) but i always thought that she wanted to have a baby mouse so i made her an imaginary one

One christmas morning, I told my parents, "I know Santa didn't come last night, because we didn't leave any cookies", but my mother interrupted me before 'because' by saying, "What? You knew Santa wasn't real?". I nodded, even though at the time I fully beleived in Santa Claus and all of that stuff. That night, I went to bed and starting crying because Santa wasn't real.

When I was younger, my family was staying at my aunt's house for a coupl weeks, and my cousin who is three years older than us got tired of us [my brother and I] complaining about the 'Boogeyman', so she took ketchup and mustard, squirted it all over a vent, topped it off with a ketchup covered butter knife, and exclaimed, "You guys, look! I killed the Boogeyman!". We were so grateful that we jumped on her and hugged her and almost started crying with happiness, hah. Plus, we could finally sleep well the rest of our stay. We actually didn't find out for a quite a few years that it was just condiments, heh!

I use to have an imaginary friend naned mr.boo he would eat other imaginary friends so ivenchually he turned evil so I made up a nother imaginary friend that was a scarecrow he would repel mr.boo.

When I was younger, we lived in a pretty secluded area, and my brother and I made up invisible friends named Jerky, Nobody, Sally, Zack and Shufale [Shoo-Fall-Ay]. We made things up about them like, if you called Jerky a jerk, he called you "helmet head" in defense.

I've always been terrified of bathrooms. I had so many seperate fears i can't list them all. When i was a kid it was pretty debilitating. I wouldn't go to the bathroom at school til i was in high school and would hold it til i got home(well, tried to anyway, unsuccessfully at times). Even now (i'm 22) i don't like going in bathrooms i've never been in before. The most prevalent belief was that sharks lived under the bathroom floor. Not just in the tub. They could eat me on the toilet or the shower or standing in front of the sink. I thought little mini sharks lived inside the toilet bowl. (As an aside: I also thought sharks lived in the deep end of the swimming pool) Til I was probably 15, I always left the bathroom door open a little so i could escape quickly if i needed to. I hated public bathrooms because the stalls scared me. I could just imagine some evil goblin or something sticking their heads/hands/claws under the stall walls and grabbing me. I didn't like the mirrors in any bathrooms due to all the bloody mary stories i heard at school. My trips to the bathroom (if you could actually convince me to go in one) were very fast and sometimes involved me not actually zipping up til i was already outside the bathroom just so i could get out faster.

when I was young I had an imaginary friend called mark and we used to play football together (how weird because I was the only one who could actually physically kick the football).

I used to believe…

when i was 5 and under i used to have an imaginary tiger and bird and i would stand there crying and pouting untill someone would talk to them and stroke them and when i was between 5-8 year old i had a bunch of wild animals that when i went into the bathroom for the toilet they would chat to me (i was scared of the sound the toilet made)

When I was younger we lived in a house that didn't have a chimney, and when it's Christmas, Santa is supposed to come down the chimney. As we didnt have one, my mum told me that he comes down the central heating pipes. The stupid thing was, I actually believed her.
