I used to believe…

There's a home video of me when I was tiny. It's at Christmas so we have the whole family round and my mum goes: "What do you have in my tummy?" and I answer, "A baby!". When asked what it was called, I say, "Jawawah!"

A pregnant 2 year old...

I used to believe…

From when I was 3, for about 5 years I had some imaginary friends... Jonta, Saila, Magic (my favourite), Fawna, Deer and Miss No Name (my least favourite.) I believed they were real and that there were lots of 'animal invisible friends' in the school playground. I would have the whole class and various other people looking for 'invisible friends' in the playground and chasing them.
And, for some reason, I was always arguing with Miss No Name and locking 'her' in my room... weird!

I used to believe…

When my sister and I were little, we would get bored on family vacations, so one day we invented our own imaginary trailer full of imaginary pets. We had around 30 animals in it: horses, dogs, rabbits, everything. The chicks would always get loose in my grandmother's basement, so we'd spend a good 10 minutes rounding them up again (and hurting ourselves in the process). Then, anytime we left someplace, we'd always have to check the back of the car to make sure the trailer was hooked up, and we'd always freak out on mountains, thinking the trailer would come loose and roll all the way down the hill.

i used to blue tack my bed room curtains to the window pane so that the ghostly witch that stood outside could not see me when i slept (i was convinced she was going to try to kill me in my sleep)!

I used to believe…

When I was in grade one somebody told me that if at midnight you go into the bathroom, turn off the light, lock the door, flush the toilet and say Bloody Mary 3 times, Bloody Mary would come out of the mirror and kill you. My friends and I believed this until one of my friend's older brother forced us to try it, with him standing outside ready to save us if she appeared.

i used to believe that (if you ever watched the land of the giants) that small people would come alive while you was asleep. So one night i stayed up late and kept pretending that i was asleep in the hope of little people being in my bedroom......

I used to believe that if it didn't snow on Christmas eve, that Santa couldn' come, and that I wouldn't get presents.

I was determined to prove the tooth fairy didn't exist. I figured my mistake was that I always *told* my parents when I lost a tooth and exactly when I put it under my pillow, so for the next 3 or 4 lost/pulled teeth I didn't say a word. I just kept them in a plastic Easter egg and thought when the time was right I'll put them under my pillow without telling anyone and see if I get money. Apparently that time never came. If anyone finds and orange Easter egg with a couple broken baby teeth in it, lemme know.

I used to believe…

When I was little my friends all thought I was nuts because I believed in Santa but not St. Nick. We always celebrate St. Nicholas day and get a present in our shoes that morning, and one year it was quite obvious my mom's handwriting was on the tag. She never made that mistake on Christmas. There you go.

I used to believe…

When I was 10 or 12 I was introduced to the Bloody Mary urban legend (stand in front of a mirror in the dark, speak the name Bloody Mary a lot, maybe spin around three times, creepy things happen). So at a big sleepover party we all faced our fears and crammed into the bathroom. On the third spin, when the ritual reached a climax, my slipper hit the springy door-stopper and made that sound that springs make going back and forth. But I didn't feel it so none of us knew what happened, which resulted in a stampede of screaming preteen girls spewing from the bathroom in all directions. Let's just say it took me years to look into a mirror in the dark again.

I used to have 3 imaginary friends there names were Billy Missy and Cryptazoogala and I used to think I could fly away with them into there world.

I used to believe that the tooth fairy came to your house to take your teeth, give you the money as a thank you, and raise your teeth and your teeth grown up to be tooth faries.

I used to believe…

When I was just 3 years old my 8 year old brother told me that he was gonna give me a magical power to run through a brick wall. Of course I believed him so when he said to put my hands behind my back and run towards the wall I did it......the result was a busted forehead and the realization that my brother must have done something wrong when giving me this magical power.

I used to believe that as soon as my mum turned off the lights for me to go to sleep that the vampires could come. Only, I thought that the vampires couldn't kill you if they couldn't see your neck. To this day I sleep with the sheets right up under my chin. Now it's habit, before, I was protecting myself.

I once believed that there were ghosts in computers, TV's, and mirrors. I desperately tried to stay away from them as much as I could. I saw a fake picture of a "ghost-hand" coming out of a TV and it scared me silly! I think I still have that fear somewhere in my subconcious that a ghost is going to grab me and pull me into the TV.

I used to believe…

When I was young, my brother and I woke up easter morning and when we walked outside to go to church, we encountered a big peice of poop in the driveway. My dad told us the easter bunny 'took a dump.' Being young and impressionable, we believed it.

I used to have an imaginary friend called Gut he had a ring on his eye and his tounge was pierces and he had a long pointy nose. I used to always grap him by the neck and he died by getting run over by a truck and I laughed at him twitching and dieing

I used to think that all of the starts were aliens trying to get there planet back because we stole it..

I used to believe…

When I was young, we learned about the witches burning at the stake in Salem, I was confused with the word "steak" and "stake" and I thought that the witches were burned in the barbeque grill along with raw steaks which is ready to cook. How does one cook steaks on the grill with a witch sitting on it?

I used to believe…
