My sister and I shared a bedroom when we were younger. Our beds were next to each other, with 2 ft or so of walking space in between. Her imaginary friend lived in that space, and one had to be very careful not to step on him! His name? Man-with-gloves. Kind of creepy now, but at that age, we never really thought anything of it!

When I was 3, my family moved cross-country from DC to California. Coincidently, my imaginary friends, Gagar and Ass moved with us as well! Gagar and Ass lived in the air conditioning vents in my bedroom, and we would have long conversations each night. At some point, Gagar and Ass had to leave, and they told me they were going on a long trip, never to return. Ahhh, but they were wrong! They have returned, 40 years later, in my neice's life: she is 3 years old and her imaginary friends are "Gaga" and "Magently!" Cool, eh?
I was about 6 when I lost my first tooth. I lost another, and another, and another. Apparently, I was pulling out my teeth to get the dollar the tooth fairy left. She quit leaving the dollar. I left it under my pillow for weeks before I learned that there was in fact no tooth fairy. I made the connection that there was no tooth fairy, there was no Santa, and no Easter Bunny. Hard lesson for a couple of bucks.
I always thought that when the trees leaning against the window at night were people trying to get me. I watched way too many horror movies. Old habits die hard.
I never told anyone, but when I was 5 i was convinced that a colony of underground lizards were my friends. They could change colors but mostly they were brown. On the low playground balance beam they would cause the earth to shake and make me lose my balance. I remember being able to see the very clearly in my head

When I was small my first imaginary friend was called Narie (pronounced NAH-ree) and we went everywhere together. Then came along Derek. He ruined all the fun, and eventually he and Narie moved to Tenerife. I haven't gotten so much as a postcard.
But it's okay, because now I have Sean. He lives in my pocket and tells me to start fires.

When I was little I believed that after the curtains had been closed when I went to bed, that I should NEVER look out of them until the morning because on the other side there would be a vampire hovering at the window trying to get in. I had to make sure they had been closed really tight so there was no space at all. It was all very scary.

My dad use to tell me that there was a monster that lived in the walls of the bathtub named Wally the Wall monster. Me and my brothers were so scared of him that we would use are room as bathrooms instead of the bathroom as a bathroom. Oh good times...
I used to believe in the tooth fairy without a doubt because my brother called the tooth fairy (actually my sister, who was in on the joke) and I heard him talking to her. I belived it for years!
I'm a twin and I would always fight with my sister and then we would both go off crying and sit on our own. When i was about 4 or 5 i got bored of sitting on my own and made up a friend called Big Gemma. She had multi coloured hair then was so long that she had to keep it rolled up in a toilet roll. She worked in the police force and circus. i would constantly talk to her aloud in public and ask her questions such as "what are we going to do today then?" Nobody knew who i was talking to and i got some really funny looks. No wonder i was a loner a school.

When I was in kindergaurden, we read a book about a monster that came off of a bus or something. Then, from that night on, the monster would haunt me in my sleep. So I thought up a plan. When I went on vacacion, the monster would follow, right? well, since he couldn't take a plane, he would need to walk. Then I imagened that he needed to walk after me and he would be so slow he would be on the road forever. That way, I would never see him again, but I know he's out there somewhere....

when i was in the fifth grade i used to believe that a person in a photograph could see me if i was to hold it and talk to them.
i used to thought that vampires would really come out to bite people at night. and would always sleep with my blanket around my neck, hoping to protect it from them.
I used to believe that the Cardassians would come and get me. This is why a child should not watch Star Trek before a certain age. I?m 15 and STILL terrified of the aliens when the come on TV.

In elementary everyone started to get into calling spirits from an empty bottle. You had to say a rhyme out loud while holding your hand over the bottle. As soon as you felt wind coming out of it, that meant the spirit was there.
I did this a few times and really believed that I had made friends with a spirit called Steven. He was always with me to look after me and at night he used to sit at the end of my bed to keep monsters and other ghosts away. I missed him when one day I realised he wasn't there anymore.
I had an imaginary friend when I ws about 3-4, his name was butchy-woochie(I think thats how it's spelt lol), well he lived on the corer of my fireplace and me and my sister would always go to his "house" and visit him, no too bad of an imaginary friend I think.
I watched the music video "Thriller" so everytime I would see a full moon I thought that Zombies would come out of their graves. Therefore, I was scared of full moons.

In New Hampshire, there is an amusement park called "Santa's Village." There were rides and of course Santa was there! Well I use to believe that the Santa at Santa's Village was the real Santa. Infact, I remember discussing Santa with my friends as a child and we all agreed that the Santa from Santa's Village was the real Santa.
I used to believe the Easter Bunny would steal moustaches. When I woke up Easter morning when I was about 4, my dad's moustache was shaved off. He told me the Easter Bunny stole it. I didn't trust that Bunny after that.
