When I was five I had a best friend who used to come over my house a lot. . We used to use a big black tree pot (with dirt in it) and make a "fairy farm". We put flowers and made furniture in there, and sometimes we would sleep out in a tent (in the backyard) and check if the fairies had come yet. In the morning there would be silver glitter all over the pot and the crumbs we left out were gone. We used to thing it was the fairies, until a few years later I guessed when the silver glitter run out!

I had 3 imaginary friends, Olo, Peth, and Ancy. One was a girl. One was a boy. One was half and half. That had to have troubled the parentals.
I used to reflect the sun off my watch to create little circles of light on the wall and tell my younger brother they were fairies and if he caught one he would be able to fly like Peter Pan! He used to run around for ages trying to catch one but when the sun went in they disappeared!

When my brother who was closest in age to me stared school, and I was left at home with my home-body mother and baby brother, (I was around age 4) I invented "Lynnette", a derivative of my own name. We lived then in a rural area, and I apparently was bored, in that my 5 older siblings were all off in school all day long.
Knowing full well that Lynnette was imaginary, I'd insist that she also be given a cooky whenever I got one, and so forth. Lynnette came in handy to blame for things, like once when I cut my bangs off to the quick, (No one had ever told me NOT to (!), so it wasn't really being naughty; in fact I didn't get into real trouble for this-- it's just that they have to grow back and the process looks kinda wierd).
In later years I've seen a few t.v. shows about multiple personalities, and now I wonder about the fine line between split personalities and invented imaginary friends, like mine....

When I was little I used to believe that when I blew bubbles, there was a little fairy inside each one that would be set free once the bubble finally popped. I suppose I got this idea from seeing Glinda the Good Witch come out of that big pink bubble in The Wizard of Oz.
I hate bloody mary . My friends told me about it and I told my mom and she took me to the mirror . I was so scared . we said it . 3 times . But luckly it was in the afternoon . But sometimes I remember and try not to think about it .
i never thought there was a monster under my bed or in my closet i thought there was snakes in mushrooms though. i found out when i was 12 that my parents never supported the fact of my belief in santa claus(e) it was school that made me believe in him. now isn't that a shame?

My little sister Elsa once thought that Santa Claus didn't wear pants. I'm as confused as you are. She thought the impact of the sleigh travelling so fast blew off his pants every time he took off, so he just got tired of wearing them.
