Used to believe? I still have imaginary friends! Of course a few years of having them and I got it through my head they couldn't like, lift things or be detected by other people, but there's really no reason to stop believing that they're there.

I saw Jaws when I was little. Because out carpet (that went throughout the entire house) was the same color as the water (for the most part) I thought that if I walked on the carpet with bare feet then Jaws would come out of the carpet (symbolic of the water) and eat me. And do keep in mind, it was ONLY bare feet that made this possible.

Most of us had an imaginary friend that we played with. Mine was a bit more complicated and bordered on some multiple personality disorder.

When it was imaginary friend time, I BECAME that friend. His name was Danger (pronounced Dain-JAH, yeah yeah keep laughing).
So I was Danger, and Wes was the disembodied figment of my imagination beside me that I played with and carried on conversations with.
Does anyone follow me on that?

Odd, But I still have imaginary friends (two of them) and I'm sixteen! Life's just more fun with Billy Joe & Jay and the odd looks we get when I tell that to people. Billy Joe come around to my school when I was in the 8th grade, near the end. He was friends with my best friend's imaginary friend, Bob. I even wrote an english paper on him and why people, even if they're older than seven, should have imaginary friends. Jay come at the beginning of 9th grade and is mute. Oo;;; He just stands in the corner most of the time while Billy Joe makes a fool of himself.

And the most suprisingly is none of my friends or family (besides my mom) think it's odd. *shrugs* Oh well.

When my older sister was younger she had this imaginary friend that lived i her fist. I cant remember his name it was something weird though, like nallywag i think, anyways, one day he got married and there wasnt enough room in her fist anymore so they moved into the electrical socket. She always used to sit and look into the socket and talk to them. She did that untill we moved out.

When i was a kid i knew there were monsters under the bed. i grew up in california, and one night when i was around five, i was lying in bed when an earthquake hit, shaking my bed.

I yelled to my mom, who was in bed in the next room, "I told you so! I told you so! There are monsters under the bed!" She yelled back, "Don't come in here!" She thought she her bed was possessed by demons ala The Exorcist. That was comforting.

I used to think that little fairies lived in the electrical outlits and I would sit around the outlits in my house for hours at a time talking to them. I even left them some food crumbs to eat sometimes. Then I believed that when I slept, the fairies would come out and tap me with their wands and that was what gave me my dreams.

when I was 6 I made up a little sister, Lisa, and I just told everyone she had spilled invisible paint on her and that's why no one could see her

I used to believe…

my primary school used to have everyone gather in this big room before classes started, and each grad ehad their own little area to stay in. the 2nd grade area was right next to this closet where everyone thought there were ghosts. this was because it was a very old building, and if you went in there, you could hear all these creaking noises.

much later, i figured out that the creaking noises were a result of the closet being located underneath a staircase, and it was just people on the stairs.

when i was i think 4 years old, i couldn't get to sleep on christmas eve, so i went into the bathroom to get a drink of water. when i was done, i happened to glance out the window as an airplane was flying by. i saw the light flying through the sky (i think it was even red--rudolph!) and i was totally convinced that it was santa's sleigh.

My husbands nephews were getting to that age where they were doubting Santa's existence. That Christmas, as always, my dad was playing Santa at the local department store. I took the kids to see my dad/Santa and having already briefed him, he greeted them with a hearty "Ho Ho Ho! And have Kyle and Jeffrey been good boys this year?" The looks on their faces when they realised SANTA KNEW THEIR NAMES!! They believed for another year after that!

I was born as a Jehovah's Witness so never had Christmas or believed in Santa Claus. When I was 5 and had just started school I decided it was my duty to inform everyone else that their parents had been lying to them and Santa wasn't real! When my teacher heard a whole class of 5 year old kids screaming their heads off that there was no Santa, boy, did I get a telling off. She even wrote to my parents to say I had no right to destroy childrens childhoods!!! I never realised what a terrible thing I had done until I was much older. Sorry kids!

When I was little, I had an imaginary friend, named Stacy. She dressed like she lived in the 80's, ya know, with the ponytail on the side of the head, wearing all bright pink and stuff (she was 8 years old) She would always walk me home from school, and fly away until the next day.

This is gonna sound sad.....
When I was just finding my feet in high school, I suddenly found myself apart from all my friends, so I made up this guy called Jack who I could talk to telepathically. At first we just talked, then I began to think I was mad so I forgot him, then he came back cos I missed him, and I really believed in him. I was 14!!!! LOL if only my friends knew........

I used to believe…

When I was 2 or 3, I would get fever blisters ALL the time. My brother, about 9 or 10 at that time, told me that there was a "scab fairy" and if I picked the scabs off of my fever blisters and put them under my pillow, the scab fairy would bring my a penny. I totally believed him, and that night, I put my scab under my pillow. I was so disappointed in the morning when I woke up and there was no penny. I thought that maybe the scab had come out from under my pillow, so the scab fairy didn't see it when she looked. I told my brother about it, he started laughing, and I then realized that there was no scab fairy.
