When I was 8 years old I would pray to god to please please have the aliens come to abduct me. If god did this I would never ask for anything ever again. My mom heard me one night as she passed by my room and suggested that I stop because if the aliens abducted me she would miss me. I reluctantly stopped. Now that I am grown I think I may start that up again
I used to have an invisable monkey pal named bingo. We would do everything together including eat dinner. I made my mom put a plate out for him and everything. I always thought he just wasn't hungry.

I used to believe that unicorns and dragons existed and that they all lived in New Zealand. I believe all this until I was about 17 and told a friend that I wanted to go to New Zealand to see the unicorns and she laughed in my face.

When I was little I was told that the tooth fairy recycled teeth, which is why they had to be clean and cavitiy free for her to leave you any money for them. This belief was reaffirmed when I lost one of my upper front teeth and less than a week later my baby cousin cut the exact tooth that I had lost. I've passed that belief on to my kids.

My Mom told me that Santa's elves would come out at Thanksgiving every year and secretly watch you until Xmas-reporting back to Santa about your behavior. I was so scared to take a shower, get undressed, & use the bathroom, between Thanksgiving & Xmas, because I thought these Elves were watching me.

Two things that haunted me in my childhood weree the boogie man and the sand man and whenever I was playing in the sand box I saw my friends picking their noses so I kept on begging them not to so the sand man and the boogie man would not come and haunt us at night.
I always thought if I turned really fast or watched carefully out of the corner of my eye I would see some of the fairy-tale creatures still around: like a unicorn. Actually, I think I still believe that deep down somewhere :)

When I was 3 or 4 i thought that if i put mud, maple leaves, rocks, twigs, and ants into a bucket, stirred it with a large stick, dump it on the ground, and cover it with dry sand it would explode if someone i didn't like stepped on it.
I used to believe that there was a shrunken head that would appear every time I turned around (in the dark), and if I didn't do what it said, it would kill me in some way.
Now that I think about it...how could a shrunken head hurt you??

When I was about 4 I had 2 imaginary friends- One was Scar from the Lion King, and the other was Aladdin.
During the Summer one day, they were "Pushing" me on the swing. My dad came outside and said "Wow! You learned how to get the swing going!" (I didn't know how to). But I insisted that my imaginary friends were pushing me :)

When i was younger i used to have a bed next to the wall. Before going to sleep i always had to make sure my head and neck were completely covered so that when the green eyes appeared in the wall they couldn't look at me. i was never sure what happened if they looked at you, but it had to be something bad!
