My cousin used to believe that my dad was a monster because she didn't see him often.

I used to believe…

When I was 3, one night going to bed I saw a monster creep up between my bed and wall. It was flat like a shadow (so it could slide up and down the gap), and looked like a werewolf, with arms held up in a grabbing pose on either side of its head. I was surprisingly non-chalant, I think, and went to my parents to tell them about the monster.

My dad followed me back and asked where it was; I pointed to the edge of bed (behind which the monster had slid back down in my absence, and away from the light).

My dad then did the most remarkable thing. He picked up a blanket, and holding it stretched out between his arms, bent over the bed so as to cover the far edge, then brought his arms together to enclose the monster in the blanket. I followed him out to out second story porch which overlooked our driveway, and beyond that a wooded area. He shook the blanket, and *I swear to god* I saw a large hairy man running away from us across the driveway into the woods.

The monster never came back.

I used to believe…

Around 1st grade my friends and I were obsessed with ghosts and hauntings. We thought that ghosts had certain colors, example: black ghosts are the evil ones, red ghosts are evil too, Blue ghosts were evil but not AS evil and the White ones were nice. Well one day at YMCA summer day camp a light in the pool room was sort of broken and had a bluish tint to it. So my friend and I would get all freaked out telling everybody that a blue ghost was by the light watching us.

I always thought that the easter bunny would come to my house and bring me eggs and leave them under my pillow. Seems like i got it mixed up with Santa Claus and the Tooth fairy! i noticed it after two years with no eggs under the pillow.

For nearly two years i beleived an indian girl lived in my cupboard and i hated going in my room. It came about from watching an episode of full house. What the indian actually was my clothes in the end of my cupboard at night.....still to this day i have to close my cupboard before sleeping!

I always had an imaginary friend and dog ever since i was 7 years old, and I acted to them as if they were real. And i always thought that they WERE real. So i always sat with them and watched t.v in exact position = Dog, me, imaginary friend. I was always inbetween them. Them my sis would come along and sit on my dog or my friend! SO i would scream and cry and cry and my sister would laugh and laugh.

I used to believe that whenever it got dark, a werewolf, or two, would be wandering around in my house, lokking for me. I would always run to and from the bathroom at night, and when i got into my room, i would quickly shut the door, but only after making sure that the werewolves hadn't got into my room.

i am fourteen now, and i still am scared of being on my own in my house after dark!!!!

When I was little I had 3 types of imangary friends. I had frocks, who were little creatures that lived behinf my couch, and left when we moved (i cried for days). I also had "spiders" that lived under my arms. They had bunk beds and everything! And I also had the straw wrappers that I kept in the car...they died after I got home though. I later found out my mom threw them away.

Once when I was 5 or 6 in my old house my sister and I were in our dining room eating cookies. My sister said that there was an imaginary friend in there named Peter. Every time I looked at "his" cookie, there was another bite missing. For a period of time I thought he was real.

I used to have an imaginary friend I called Maple Syrup. I thought that was the prettiest name. Had no clue that it was what you put on pancakes at the time!

I used to have an imaginary friend named Joey. Joey was 16, and a kangaroo. I didn't realize the only female kangaroos had a pouch, so Joey had one that he used to carry me in. He lived in an invisible house that ran from one side of my street to the other, like a bridge. The door was 6 feet off of the ground and he had to jump really high to reach it.

There was one time, before my little brother was born, my mom had left a pie shell cooling on the table... it looked so good, so I just took a pinch out of it and another, and another..... when she asked who did it (I was an only child at the time), I told her Joey did it and she pretended right along with me that he had.
