When I was little, I used to have this imaginary friend named Tar, and I would talk to her whenever I looked in the mirror. Sometimes when she decided not to be in the mirror, I would just stand around and argue with her and there would be much telling to shut up. Sometimes I think that Tar decided to become my consience.

One day my family talking about ghosts when my little sister piped "Remember when we saw REAL ghosts?" She looked so convinced that my mother dug into her head to find out why she was so convinced she saw a real ghost. Two years earlier we had been on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland, and all of this time she had believed in ghosts!

When I was around 4th grade, I made up a little cat named Diana. She sat on my head all day long. One of my friends in the gifted program that I saw once a week had an imaginary dog that followed him everywhere. Everytime I saw this guy I would grab Diana off of my head and protect her because his imaginary dog would come up and eat her. This happened a couple of times. I got mad at him and I would kick his imaginary dog and stroke my dear Diana. o_o;

When I was about 6 I watched a movie about faires. I believed they lived in tree stumps and under rocks. I also believed they would give you candy if you left a trade near the rock. So one day I left a ton of garbage from a dumpster in front of this massive rock I thought they were living in, in hopers of them taking the garbage and in turn leaving me loads of candy. However, I was saddened to find out their were not candy faries and that later my mom found out I had taken the garbage from the dumpster and left it in front of the rock and hence had to clean up all the garbage near the rock.

I used to always believe in the 'tooth fairy' without question. Until one time I lost a tooth and the tooth dairy never came. When I went and told my mom, she just told me to go back to bed and maybe the tooth fairy would get around to it. It became very clear that the tooth fairy wasn't real when my mom showed up in my room a minute later and slipped a dollar under my pillow. She forgot, oops!

My younger friend Emelia really believes in fairies. She writes to them and she says that they write back. She wrote a letter to the 'Fairy Queen' and she supposedly wrote back. She showed me the letter from the 'Fairy Queen' and it suspiciously looked like her older sister's writing. She told me that the fairy queen used Zoe's writing book.

Whenever I was in the car I'd pretend it was being chased by the Bomb Rat. I used to have pet newts, and they would eat these little cubes of "freeze-dried tubifex worms". I thought that whole concept was really fascinating, and it wound up the Bomb Rat's favorite food.

As we drove, blocks of this fish-food would fall from the sky into the Bomb Rat's mouth until he swelled into a sphere. His tail then became a fuse and he would roll after the car, ready to explode. He wasn't bad, though.

Around the age of 6 I had a little fantasy I scared myself with where I thought I'd wake up to find a monster had literally grown out of me overnight. I pictured it as a sort of purple brain with beady eyes and lots of root-like arms. I eventually decided it wasn't such a scary thought because the creature would have to consider me its parent, and we'de be best friends.

While playing in the basement at age 5, I was fairly certain I had seen a ghost for a split second as it turned a corner. It looked like my next-door neighbor, only flat like paper.

Our house was and still is haunted by the ghosts of cats and everytime I go to bed I can feel one curling up by my foot and hear one mewing at my window some of them would even follow me to school, which made me scare my peers by rambling on and on about them but I really am glad that we still have ghosts though I do feel sorry for the poor kitties.
