When I was little I used to sit up a read stories ou loud with my windows wide open. This was in hopes that Peter Pan would come along and take me to Neverland. I really didn't want to grow up. So every morning for about 4 years I was disappointed but I thought that maybe he didn't hear me.

On Christmas Eve, I used to lay out some carrots with Santa's milk and cookies so the reindeer could have something to eat, too. I just didn't think it was fair that the reindeer did all the work and then didn't get any food for themselves.

One Easter as a child my sisters and I each got one of those big chocolate bunnies. My mom told us that if we eat too much chocolate we would turn into bunnies. I excitedly started eating faster as I thought how fun it would be to actually turn into a bunny. By the end of the day I was sadly still myself.

when we were kids, my sisters and i had a superstition that while we rode home from one grandmother's house to our other grandparents' house where we stayed when visiting, if we kept our eyes closed and our teeth and fingernails hidden from the trees on each side of the road so they couldn't see the gleam from them, when we got there, our cousins would be visiting and we could play with them. it seemed to work every time!

When I was 4, i accidentally saw like 5 minutes of "Ghostbusters" and it was the scene where Dana is sitting in armchair and is attacked by some hands coming out of the chair.
For next 2 years i believed there could be monsters inside an armchair which could attack you if you were alone in the room.
I am an adult now and I am still nervous when watching Ghostbusters.

When I was about 7 I figured out Santa couldnt of possibly delivered all those presents by sleigh, and decided that instead, he would send out fleets of big trucks that would sneak in and plant the presents in the houses really early in the morning.

Until I was 8 I used to think that women who wore eye liner were witches.
I used to beleive that there were monsters in my closet like most kids but if i had my light on in the closet they could not see but if the light was off they could see. When they couldn't see it was like they were paralyzed so they could not get me.
I use to really believe in the gold at the end of a rainbow myth. One time during a house party I saw a rainbow and I urged my mother to drive me there. She didn't know what I was talking about but she drove me to the other side of the neighborhood. Imagine my surprise when I find no leprechaun waiting there at all.

As a girl I used to live in Mexico. During the day everything appeared normal. However, at night I believed that everyone except my brother and I were aliens. I remember I used to pray that the aliens would not control our minds and thoughts.

I used to believe Santa Claus lived in the clouds, as opposed to at the North Pole. I may have been mixing him up with simplified depictions of God.
I used to believe that there was a colony of monsters in the attic - they were shower hoses with scissors or gintraps on the end. I believed that if I laid in bed with my legs out straight, they would come and chop my head off, then put it in a jar in the attic.

When I was a child, I believed that if you had any body part other than your head out of the covers, T-Rex would walk by your house and see you and he would then proceed to lift the roof off like the lid to a box and eat you. He'd then calmly put the roof back down and keep going, looking for other kids to eat. Likewise, if you had an arm or leg hanging over the bed, something could reach up and grab you from underneath. Only safely in the middle of the bed with the covers pulled up to your chin were you safe!
