When I was smaller I used to believe that I had seen the tooth fairy hovering over my bed. Oddly enough, however, I believed that she was a large brown dog in a pink tutu wearing a tiara and holding a star wand. My mother and I were in the drug store in line and I proudly told my story to the man in front of us. The entire line started to laugh and I got very angry and left to sulk among the dried flowers.

When I was about 2 and my sister was 6 we had these two "friends", mine was called Baby Chicku, and my sisters was called Big Sister Chicku. They were, in fact...our hands (my first and second fingers were the legs and the same goes for my sisters). Baby Chicku and Big Sister Chicku lived in the fridge, therefore we would spend HOURS playing at the open fridge, making our fingers leap all over the place. When they would go on "holiday" we would play with them around the house or out anywhere.....ahh imagination

I live on a farm and I thought that if I went outside of my fence, trees would chase me down, and Once, my cousins told me that if I went outside of my fence at night, an old man with no legs would come out and eat me. I pictured a man lifting up the top of the silo and peeking out for little kids. Later on I thought about how he moved without any legs, and if he had a wheelchair, how could he get out of the top of the silo? Then I got daring and decided I could go outside of the fence at night, because even if that man was real, he couldn't run after me that fast without legs, or wheel fast on gravel. So i went out of the fence, and I swore I heard a loud clang, and I assumed it was the silo banging shut fast cuz he was coming, so I ran into the woods. Then I remembered...Evil Trees wanna kill me! so i just ran inside the fence, in the house, and turned all the lights on. I was home alone, to make matter worse. I backed myself into a corner so nothing could pop out behind me and I could see if something was coming. I sat there for about an hour, and I thought it was alright to get up, but as I did so, someone jiggled the door handle, and I thought it the the no legged man because it would have taken him a while to get to the door, so I sat in my corner and hoped he'd go away, but someone banged on the window, and I wet myself in the corner. I locked the doors, so my parents couldn't get in. They were laughing so hard that they didn't ground me for tinkling on their new carpet.
I used to believe that everything in my room was alive. I thought they'd come to life once I left the room. I couldn't figure out why I could never catch them while they were moving, even if I snuck up to my room. How could they know I was coming? Then it hit me. The carpets must have told them I was coming. I tried to wager with the carpets. "Just let me see if they're moving and I'll vacume you...please?" And when that didn't work, I just barged into my room and yelled at everything. "I know you're alive, so you might as well not hide it anymore. C'mon, I won't tell anyone! I promise!"
I remember watching Captain Planet...He's this superhero who has 5 human friends with powers of things like water and fire and wind and junk...they all would get together with their rings, and I had a cheap junky ring that I thought made me like those superhero's friends. So whenever I wore the plastic ring, I believed I could see and talk to Captain Planet...Like he'd be hovering three feet above my head...I'd even get mad at him and yell...My mom thought I was insane. Apparently an over-active imagination wasn't an explanation.

I used to believe that there were more than one toothfairies. I believed that they all worked in a little factory and when they brought teeth back, they would run those baby teeth through a machine that made them grow or turn into big teeth and then the toothfairies would place those bigger teeth in your gums and the teeth would pop out later. Hmmm...
