I used to believe…

When I lost my first baby tooth, my mother told me to put it under my pillow and the Tooth Fairy would leave me a suprise. I hurried to sleep with my tooth sitting snug under my pillow. I've always been a light sleeper, so I woke up when my mother replaced the tooth with a quarter. I faked I was still asleep, but I saw the truth. My mother WAS the tooth fairy!! For the longest time, when other kids would talk about the toothfairy, I would proudly declare that the person leaving money under their pillows was my mother.

When I was little I really believed in Santa. So much so infact, I cried for hours when my parents said he wouldn't be coming because I hadnt gone to bed when I was supposed to. They eventually talked me round, convincing me he would come if I was good in the future. How I look back and chuckle to myself!

As far back as I can remember, my cousin would always comment on how I was an alien, then, like, a couple months later she made up a whole story about how I came to live on Earth (I guess this amused her)The worst thing is, I had came to believe her and when I had told my parents the WHOLE story, they started laughing, and telling me that it wasn't true. I was SO confused! (I guess this is how I became a blonde)(lol)

In my mothers house there are 3 flights of stairs, when i was about 4-5 my older sister told me that if i steped on the bottom steps that a MONSTER would come and eat me in my sleep. I believed her so much that if i did accidentally step on one of thoses evil bottom steps that i would scream and cry when my mother tryed to put me to bed. Of course my sister also told me that if i told anyone that she told me that, the monsters would come and eat us both!!

every christmas eve, the whole family would gather together at my grandparents house. we would have a huge dinner, then afterwards, we would open presents. i once asked one of my aunts how i could open the ones marked "from: santa" the nite before christmas, and they told me they brought empty boxes that were from santa, and while we were eating, he would become invisible and come fill them up.

When I was about 4 or 5 i thought that I had a little dog named Wach (I didn't know how to spell watch so her name was Wach). Every day she would have a new litter of puppies (although she never met a boy dog). Wach was a Watch-Dog and always protected me. I took her everywhere and always gave her Cheeerios with water. She was pretty much my real dog. Weird, but I always thought I could feel her brown fur. Hmmmmmmm...

not really sure where to put this, but I figured ghosts was probably most apt. When I was really little I used to be terrified of touching the edges of the shadows as I thought they could hurt me. When the car went under shadows I'd close my eyes, cos then they wouldn't know I was there, and when I was walking I would jump into the centre of the shadow and then out again.

later, when I was around nine my year went on a school trip to a seaside town, and mass hysteria as the largest girls dorm started claiing to see ghosts. I saw a child-sized hand print on the back of one girls jumper, and when I touched it it gave me and electric shock- later I did some research and found out the place had been an orphanage before and several girls had died young, and one eight year old child had drowned- having seen, just before I left, a faint outline of a girl walking into the sea, I was more than a little creeped out by this

I used to beleive that Father Christmas was a red nosed, fat guy who left us presents until I was about 7. Father Christmas was always at the malls and I always wondered why he was at the mall and not working on the presesnt. One day we went to two different malls and I saw two Father Christmas's. Weird, I thought. I went and sat on his lap and he gave me a blue candy cane. I ran I showed my mum. I wailed, "I don't like blue! Father Christmas is mean!" On Christmas Eve I slept in my mum and dad's room.

I used to believe…

for easter my father would mow the lawn and gather the grass so we could make these giant easter nests on the front lawn. he told us unless we did this, the easter bunny wouldn't bring our easter baskets. easter morning, we would go out to the front lawn and our baskets would be in our nests, just as he said.
