I used to believe…

A loooong time ago, I was probably 5-7 years old, I was very gullible. I used to believe that this huge robot would patrol our neighborhood and would watch for kids looking out the window. If it saw a kid, it would break into your house and come up to your room...and I didn't know what happened after that. I'd always spend nights peeking, juuuuust peeking, over the bottom of my window, watching for that boxy robot covered in lights.

My little girl, who is 5 years old, wakes up in the morning with messy, tangled hair (as does everyone) but she has the belief that the reason for this is that the Fairies have been playing in her hair at night, one morning she asked me to *have words with the Fairies* to stop tangling her hair!

Once my older brother put red disclosing tablets in his mouth and chewed them, then ran down the drive in his long mac, this was accompanied with 'evil' looks to make me think he was a vampire. I actually believed him - the bastard. (I was watching 'Lost boys' a lot)

I used to believe…

When I was eight or nine I used to think there a ghost following me. She was a lady dressed in a long black dress and a mourning veil. I could only see her from the corner of my eye and if I tried to look directly at her, she would disappear.

I used to believe…

When I was young, I believed that Bugs Bunny and Yo Simite Sam were between my cheek and bottom row of teeth. Bugs was on the left side and Sam was on the right side. Whenever I would eat, they would hide, running down my throat and clinging to my uveula. And whenever I got bored, the would use my teeth as walls and would have a gunfight. Of course, Bugs always won, although I like Sam more. I still don't know where this idea came from!

Last year I baked a set of cookies for Santa to eat, and I warned my whole family not to touch the cookies. The next day, the cookies had bites taken out of 'em, but Santa didn't leave any presents! From that day, I believed Santa was a slob and a dirty thief. I stopped believing in him last year.

I used to believe…

when i was younger (though still older than i'd like to admit) i had an imaginary friend who was always on a bicycle, and i would only see him when my family was on long car trips. he would be riding along outside the car on his bike doing tricks and stuff to keep me amused. sometimes when we stopped at rest stops he would come close enough for me to talk to for a while, but he wouldn't come and stay with us in the hotels. i always felt kind of bad for him, because that seemed like a really long way to have to ride a bike. i guess he was in really good shape.

I was spending the night at a friends when I was about 8 and her older and much wiser sister told us if we fell asleep with are hand over our heart an evil spirit would take over are bodies.

Also I believe parents should not let yungsters watch scary movies I was the biggest chicken growing up .I hated camping I thought (Jason) was gonna get me (swimming)Jaws was gonna eat me.Being outside at night allowed aliens to abduct me. I even thought a shadow I saw everynight outside my window was E.T. and don't get me started with the scary movies that said based on a true story that was the worst.

I was conviced from about 8-12 years old that my bedroom was haunted so I would sleep in the living room on the couch. I swear everytime I tried to sleep in my bedroom a ghost would be floating inches from my face.

I used to believe…

When I was much younger, we had a poolhouse or what not by our city playground, and the Easter Bunny would make appearances there when Easter rolled around. After waiting for the bundle of joy, I skipped off to the bathroom to find the diassembled bunny costume folded by the bathroom. Convinced someone had skinned him, I then found out that it was a costume, I was tricked, so on and so forth. From then on, I never went to the poolhouse again, nor believed in the Easter Bunny.

I used to believe…

my cousin and i both had this belief. she first told me about it when she thought it happened to her, and then i soon caught with what i thought was my own experience. she told me that sometimes when she wakes up in the morning and opens her eyes too quickly, she sees the face of a ghost. after having heard this, the next morning i saw the same thing. i must admit that the face looked more like a character out of "casper" than a real person.
