my imaginary friend was the cheshire cat (as in from Alice in Wonderland). He always used to pop up and give me riddles, an tell me to do stuff (which i always did, even if it was naughty....i mean would you argue with a cat with a mouth that size??) When people asked me what i wanted to be when i grew up, i always said the cheshire cat...he was my inspiration :P

As a kid I was always hiding in the cupboard under the stairs, much to my mum's annoyance, as I always pulled the coats down. So she told me that if i didn't stay out of there, a monster would come out at night when i was sleeping and steal my teeth. I tired desperately to fall asleep with my mouth closed!
I had 2 imaginary friends, they were cowboys called Tommy and Jackson. Tommy was an eldery cowboy, and Jackson was a young man. They wore jeans and checked shirts with leather waist-coats. We watched The Lone Ranger together. Ahhh those where the days!

when I was seven i thought that that tingling feeling when the skin on your face tightens was my imaginary friend. I called it spirit and used to talk to it when i was at school. (I'd seen the tempest on tv and thought i had an aerial like that).

We never sent Santa a Christmas list. (I guess Mom thought it was a waste of a stamp.) We left our lists under the tree. I suppose Santa carried a big enough inventory to deliver what we wanted.

My imaginary friends were three little dragons - one red, one green and one purple. The purple one was the pest and I was always having to "clean up after it". My mum only persuaded me not to bring them shopping with us by saying that the No Dogs sign meant No Dragons as well.

My parents house had no open fireplace in the living room, just a gas fire. I used to leave my Santa letter beneath the gas pipe and believed that he could squeeze out from behind the gas fire WITH a sack of presents...
I remember when I was about 7 planning to ask my parents on my 18th birthday (when I was to become an adult, and therefore should know everything) whether Father Christmas actually exists. I thought that because if I got my kids presents and Father Christmas gave them some aswell, they could grow up spoilt, but if I didn't get them any presents and he didn't exist, then they would be upset. I just thought I'd ask to make sure though, because OBVIOUSLY he exists or how did the sherry disappear and where did the teeth marks come from on the carrot for Rudolph?

When little I used to believe on Xmas Eve that a little bird used to sit outside on my bedroom windowsill and would tell Santa if I wasnt sleeping. Needless to say I used to keep my eyes firmly closed, but would try to peep now and then to see if I could see the bird !!!
I used to have two imaginary fiends who both looked like Jerry out of Tom and Jerry. One was Diggy (who was red) and one was Gog (Blue). Gog was responsible for anything that was broken/eaten/ruined and Diggy would always tell him off. Diggy was also there to back me up when telling my parents that Gog had done everything. I swear they could see him but blamed me anyway.

My younger brother had an invisible friend called "Bungbing" (Because it kept "coming" to see him but he couldn't say coming) I got jealous of him always having some one to play with so I made up my own, a cat called Scratch. I convinced my brother that we ought to swap for a day and he never saw Bungbing again! Apparently he was cross at my brother for swapping him for an invisible friend that never even existed!
I used to have an imaginary friend called Robin...I don't know if it/she/he was a girl or boy but we would have long chats every night before I went to sleep...about our day, school etc. I reckon I was about 5 to 9 years old and as an only child I suppose it/he/she was a sibling substitute. I can still see it/he/she standing by my bed now. Robin gradually disappeared, faded with time. I expect it/he/she went on to become some other poor lonely child's friend....any one out there know him?

When I was little I could never eat my chocolate Easter bunnies because I didn't want to hurt them, so my mum told me that after I ate them they would grow back together in my tummy, so now, to this day, I can happily eat a chocolate bunny!!

When I was young I used to believe that the tooth Fairies all lived under the holly tree in my garden and used my teeth for their furniture, but whenever I tried to see them under there they had just popped out. They were out alot suprisingly.

When I was a kid we had this lovely china dinner set that was white with tiny black and gold flowers. I truly believed that this dinnerset had been made by the fairies out of childrens' teeth collected from under their pillows when asleep.

My mum used to get us to write to Father Christmas on Christmas eve each year and leave the letter out with the mince pie, carrot etc. Each year he'd reply with writting strangly similar to mums, one year though we got a reply in hand we didn't recognise and I was torn between my definate knowledge that there was no father christmas, and the undeniable fact that mum hadn't written the letter.....I was 10!! Sad huh?
