I used to believe…
When I was 4 I went to live with my Great Grandfather. On Christmas Eve I pretended to be asleep and I saw Grandpa go to the table and drink the milk and eat the biscuits we'd left out for Santa. I was in absolute awe and so excited - I exploded out into the neighbourhood on Christmas day convinced that Santa lived at my house.

when i was younger my house didn't have a chimney so my parents told me that santa had a magic key!what i didnt understand was how santa could park all of his reindeer in my tiny front garden!i believed this until i saw my dad creep in my room n leave my presents!
I used to have a cat who sort of appeared about the time my sister was born. Obviously he could talk, but he was also blessed with the natural feline talent of riding a moped. He particularly liked to wear an old fashioned leather helmet with his goggles over his ears and would follow us around. I don't think he ever made it into the house - probably because he was always covered in oil.
I used to believe the tooth fairy was real until I saw my mum creeping around in the bathroom one night. We left our tooth is a glass of water in the bathroom and the 'toothfairy' would leave us a silver coin.
I was convinced Santa was real - so I crept out of bed late Christmas Eve, and took up station under the lounge room sofa, hoping to catch him at his game. I was so annoyed when Dad dragged me out, telling me to go to bed - how on earth did he KNOW I was under there?
Another christmas, we went away on holidays, and when we came back, Dad told us to wait outside while he checked for burglars. We were amazed when we went inside and all our christmas presents were there - how did Santa get in the house while we weren't there!!
I was 12 years old and still believed in Father Christmas. My mother told my sister to tell me the truth about the jolly fat man in the red suit, so one night when the two of us were doing the dishes, my sister spelt out the bad news. I burst into tears and ran into the bathroom and locked the door. It took about three hours for my mother to coax me out! Worst of all my mother and sister were laughing uncontrollably at my reaction. They felt I should know the facts as the following year I was heading off to high school! I still believe in him though, even at this ripe old age of 55 years.
I saw that movie Poltergeist when I was young. I was really scared of the static channels on the television. Ghosts somehow lived amongst the static. If you looked and listened really carefully you could hear and see them
I used to think 12:00 AM until 12:59 was the "witching" hour. If I awoke at this time then something bad would happen. So if I saw the clock showing this time I would try to fall asleep under the covers as fast as possible
I had two imaginary friends when i was young. They were named On and Off. On was good, but Off was a vandal. One time when i heard sirens out in the street, i told my mother that Off had pulled the fire alarm in a building as a prank.
hall of fame
I believed in father christmas until i heard him swear over my stupid sock..

When i was 5 or 6 i used to belive that there was a monster hiding in my sisters cupboard waiting for me to fall asleep so it could take me away to it's dungeon!!!!!!
I used to believe that if I fell asleep at my grandmother's house, I would somehow be magically whisked away home to my own bed the next day. I thought the babysitting fairies took pity on me and sent me home while I slept:)

As a child my parents always made me give away one of my presents to a less fortunate family. I asked my parents if Santa was so magical why did poor famalies not recieve gifts? My Mom told me that Santa sent every family a bill after Christmas that had to be settled by the end of January.

When I was very young my older sisters used to make me go down stairs on Christmas morning to check to see if the presents were there yet. For 2 or 3 years in a row when I went down stairs for the first time, there were no presents there just a brown paper bag, I would go back upstairs to my sisters and we would wait awhile, then they would send me down again, this time the presents would magically be there, for years I was convinced that all our presents came out of that paper bag.
I really believed in Santa Claus, as my parents and older sister conspired to keep the myth going. We all crept into the sitting room on Christmas morning, the other whispering, "Has he been?" and the feeling of suspense as we opened the door was quite eerie! At the age of about 7, when I finally got my sister to admit it had all been a lie, I was devastated and have never liked Christmas since! Aaw!
i used 2 believe that fairy's lived at the bottom of my garden! then my sister got me a new teddy she said that get would come out and play with me and my new teddy! at the bottom of the garden!

when i was about 6, my mum used to tuck me into bed at night, and sometimes, she would put on the scary Count Dracula voice and say "i've come to suck your blood! ha ha ha" which i would think was SO funny at the time, but when she left and turned the light off, i was certain that the REAL Dracula was in my room or somewhere in the house, so i wouldn't sleep with my neck exposed, just in case he sucked my blood in my sleep. because a doona would protect me from Dracula.....
I used to believe that if u stood in fromt of a bathroom mirror at night and said bloody Mary three times and flush the toilet that bloody mary would appear and stab you every time my friends and I tried to do it we would run out of the bathroom before anything would happen
I used to believe that there were ghosts in the attic and even when the lights were on they were there. We lived in a house that was over 200 years old, so I *knew* something sinister had occured there before we moved in, hence the need for ghosts. I also knew that repeating the word "wing" as I went up to get what I needed and came back would protect me from them.

When i was about five i believed that when you stared at a bright light for a long time then looked away the coloured lights before your eyes were faires,i explained this to my sister my mum walked in one morning to find us jumping up and down on my bed trying to catch them.
