I used to believe…

When I was a kid, there was a cute toy shop in town (still around too!) One of the people who owned it was an older man who was plump and had the beard to boot! Seriously thought that it was Santa's hangout in the off-season.

I used to have an imaginary friend called douglas who was orange with blue hair. one day we were watching a kid's program when the characters had an imaginary friend exactly like douglas *even the same name*. this caused an abrupt ending to our friendship as i thought he was cheating on me with other peoples imaginations...

I used to believe that all little kids had imaginary friends, and that since I didn't have one, I was abnormal. I tried to make one up for myself, and it was really hard because I didn't realize they came naturally instead of forced. I eventually came up with an imaginary twin for me named Isabella, and was exactly like me only with a (very poor) british accent. Needless to say, I got bored with her VERY soon.

When I was little I though somewhere in the playground was a gate way into different 'magic lands' and that you had to preform a ritual to get in there. I still remember going to mermaid land and playing all by myself in the playground talking to myself and imaginary people, I didn't know why everyone stopped playing with me all of a sudden........

I have an imaginary friend and her name is Sailor. Her birthday is the same as mine! She looks almost exactly like me! I made her up on 9/24/11. Her parents are deceased and her brother went off to imaginary college. His name is Echo. I have to go now because we are going to go play!

I used to be afraid of the dark, and consequently thought all window blinds were monsters. Therefore, their only weakness was turning the horn that hung from the left side of their face, and for that you had to approach with the utmost caution.

when i was little i used to believe the 'fairy dust' that was sprinkled over my dollar i received when i lost a tooth would make me fly, so i would collected up the dust and sprinkle it over myself and spend my afternoons jumping off the bottom of my stairs...

When I was about 7, my brother told me the Joker (from Batman) was going to get me. He said that if I shined a green light anywhere, the Joker would come out and "get me". I guess he meant "kill" instead of "get" me, but I still don't know. Anyways, one evening we had my dad's side of the family over for dinner, and my cousins, brother and I went into the basement and my brother got his colored flashlight, put it on green and started shining it everywhere with the lights off. I was so scared that I ran upstairs and refused to go in the basement for weeks on end.

I used to believe that Sante Clause lived in the bushes beside my house, waiting for me to come close enough so he could swallow me whole. I'd have a panic attack everytime my mother would try to walk me to school.

Ummm when I was around 6/7 my imaginary friends were Spiderman and X-Men & Superman, I remember when my cousins use to ask me a question I'd go behind the house and ask my friends and they always agreed. when spiderman 2 came out I was devastated coz I thought they were replacing my friend. When The guy who played Superman died I cried coz I felt like I lost a friend. I use to sit in my room for hours playing catch with them until I got bored coz they didn't feel like throwing back, lol

When I was around 5, I had two imaginary friends named Fred and Tornado. Fred bore a striking similarity to the monster in Monster's Inc. that got a sock stuck to him, and Tornado was a constantly spinning, talking tornado the color of my portals. Mostly turquoise with some red.
They could shrink because I felt bad that Fred had no place to sleep and offered him the under of my bed, because that's where monsters were supposed to sleep. But since i didn't really have an "under," he had to be able to shrink.
I met Tornado's family once. He had a dad named Hurricane, a mom named Gail(like gail force winds), and a little sister named Breeze.

When I was a kid I would always see these little yellow lights at my window. I was convinced that my neighbors across the street were aliens and were pointing lasers at me to collect data.

Much to my dismay, and my mother's hilarious pleasure, they were just fireflies.

When i was younger i dont know why but i actually REMEMBER this, theres a monster ( big robot) that will pick you up and eat you if your awake at midnight. for some reason i think it was a dream but i actually remember this big guy walking down our street every step would make a crater i always wondered why they dissapeared but i made sure to be to bed by midnight. i always thought my heartbeat was his footsteps.

I use to believe in the toothfairy until i found all my missing baby teeth in my mom's jewlery box drawer.

I used to believe that the tooth fairy would take your tooth, and add it to her home, like her home was a palace made out of all the teeth in the world, and that she had a section of her palace for each person, and she would have molar stools and teeth walls, etc., and that she would label the rooms according to your name, like: Adora Fae's room, it used a lot of imagination, but when I was 7 I stopped believing in the tooth fairy, but before that, I used to think that she was evil, and hated me, because I lost my tooth on Christmas, and she didn't come... :(
