I do not believe in "imaginary" friends. I STILL believe in invisible ones. My parents tell me stories about my group of 'boys' who would go with us where ever we went. I remember a crowd of "seafoods" after eating at Red Lobster one night, they usually lived in the floorboards of the car. I have had a ghost named Peanut butter, a whole family if Pegasuses, some "good luck bugs"... Sadly, most of them left when I was about 15 and realized I didn't need them.

However, now at 25, I keep the company of two dragons and a white hawk. *grin*

I used to believe…

When I was a kid, we didn't have a chimney, I forget how we decided Santa came (the front door?) One year, while my dad and I were out getting Arby's- our traditional Christmas Even dinner (now replaced by pizza courtesy of Ninja Turtle loving brothers...) I saw a blinking red light in the sky. It dodged and weaved and did NOT fly like an airplane. I pointed it out to Dad and we both decided it was Rudolph's nose. To my amazement, when we got home, all my presents were out! Santa had come early that year. I believed for a very long time after that.

When I was a kid we lived near some hills that had several televistion broadcasting antennas. I asked my mother what they were, and she said "they are aliens, and they've landed and come to take over the earth." Everytime I saw them I was fascinated and terrified.

My daughter, has an imaginary friend named "Out of the Box".It's really weird how real they can become. One day we were in a restaurant, and she had left him in the car. I was at the counter getting our food she was at a table. My daughter yelled over to me "Mom, Out of the Box isn't sitting down!" I immediately responded "Dee, Out of the Box is in the car!" After realizing what had taken place I was soo embarrassed!

My mother told me that once in your life you will see your own spirit, it will either be a good one or a bad one so i better be good or the bad one will appear, for years into my marriage I always had to have the light on while I slept.

When i was a little kid i had an imaginary shark/whale friend who made videogames out of malls and cows etc. just by pointing some invention in that direction and push a button, he lived in the clouds and put a banana on the sky when the moon came up
and an orange when the sun came up.
he had over 200 children and was really good at surfing
(he's norwegian name was Ola Bonga)

Weird imagination, huh?

I used to believe that my father was going to build a fire in the fireplace and burn Santas' butt when he came down the chimney. So I stayed up all night to make sure he wouldn't build the fire

I used to believe…

was afraid of mirrors in the dark because of bloody mary. My friends told me about it at a slumber party in grade school. They also had one called "Blue Baby" who was suppose to be a baby that was frozen to death or something, and would haunt the house if you said blue baby three times in front of a mirror.

The other girls did that, and a oiji board, i refused to partisipate, and they screamed saying they saw the baby... i would never go in the bathroom unless the lights were on after that. It's terrible what people do to each other.

one summer when I was a kid (I can't remember how old), I could see a twinkling
star outside my window. It would talk to me in my own secret language and his
name was george. He was my best friend that whole summer.

Then one night my mom heard me talking to George and she told me that stars
don't talk and I should go to bed. The next night George was gone. I was so sad
because I thought my mom made him leave me and not be my friend.

Sometimes I still wonder if this was just my imagination...

I used to believe that there were very scary things hiding just outside my peripheral vision. They're always behind me, and move fast enough to avoid my sight when I turn around. Like vampires, I wouldn't see them in the mirror, either.

I wasn't yet into computer gaming at the time, but it's very similar to Star Control 2's (early 90s) alien Spathi and their fear of the Ultimate Evil, which "lurks just outside the range of even the most sensitive, long-range detectors". Eerie.

I wasn't brought up to believe in Santa Claus, but I guess the belief was there, anyway. Until I was around 6 years old, when I saw him dead on the evening news. I can't recall how he died. I just remember some men carrying the body somewhere.

when my daughter was 4 (she is now 10) she had many imaginary friends one of whom was named colt well for a child of that age i could tell she was watching way to much "grown up tv" because colt was a boy one day a girl the next and at the end of week not even colt was sure what sex he/she was

I've truly believed in Santa Clause until I was about 10 or 11. Being 16 years
old now, I know that he can't be real. Although, logically, I know he doesn't exsist,
I still listen for jingle bells of his sleigh and the red glow of Rudolph's nose on
Christmas Eve.

My older brother was a big Dr.Who fan (80's scifi show. very weird) Anyhow, we all grew up in the Upper Pennisela of Michigan, which means TONS of snow every winter. When we would walk up to meet our bus for school, we would encounter the chunks of snow that fell off from under our parents car's. Our older brother would tell my younger brother and i that they were alien eggs from Dr.Who and we had to jump on them and smash them or they would hatch and kill us. We jumped on those things every winter for years.

When i was little, i had an older brother and a younger brother but no other kids living nearby to play with, so i spent hours upon hours making up friends. The one i remember the most would be my dog, Spot. I wasnt allowed to have a real dog. At one point i found an old yellow swing set seat and dragged it all over , telling everyone it was my dog, Spot. This went on for a few years untill i left him in the driveway and my dad ran him over. He "died" and my dad threw him away for me :-)

I used to believe that Peter Pan n Tinkerbell were for real. I used to looked out my window every night and wait for them to come.I recall very well that i wanted to fly and to live with only kids.I guess thtat is why i believed him so much. And of course i dont want to grow-up.

When I was about 4 I had an invisible friend, Oscar, who was my "invisible pet octopus". Oscar would tell me what I should eat or whether or not I should do things - "No, Oscar says that I shouldn't eat those vegetables" or "Oscar said I don't have to go to bed now". I was an only child so it was nice to have this friend. My mother says she wasn't overly fond of Oscar, and I don't know why I decided upon an octopus.
I did try for a bit in kindergarten to convince people that this big tall blow up doll I had (NO!! Not that kinda blow up doll!) was my sister, who was very quiet except for a squeak when she was bent. I always wanted siblings, I guess.
