I believed there really was a Santa living in the North Pole until I was 15 (and found out by accident because of snooping in my parents' bedroom for something). All the santas at the mall and department stores were really his elves that he used magic on to make big and had great memory so they could tell the real Santa what we wanted when they magicked back to the North Pole every night.

When I was little, I didn't believe that Santa and his elves made all the toys he gave. I thought that he sent out elves in disguise as humans to buy the toys at stores. My classmate Ryan had large ears, and I thought that he might be an elf because of this.

My sister and I used to believe that we were one day going to randomly turn into cartoon characters of some sort. Once, we honestly thought we were turning into Koopalings (like in Super Mario World) because we became so obsessed with them. The fact that we have natrually dry, scaly-looking skin and fast-growing fingernails didn't exactly help...

I live in Boston, Massachussettes if you have ever been there, you know there are bridges with views of the city. At night this can look quite eerie and mystical, especially if you are a kid.

Every Christmas we had parties at my grandparents and from when i was from about age 4 to 7 and i used to believe i talked to Santa Clause up the chimney. What i now know is, that 'Santa Clause' was actually my grandad upstairs with one walkie-talkie and the other inside a vase (with flowers) next to the fire place!! The family always joined in the fun, with uncles and aunties all running in saying that they have seen him on the roof! Great tip for youngters, it used to make my Christmas!
