When i was little all my friends had imaginary friends. I felt left out and cried for ages. I asked my mum to buy me one but she said i had to concentrate and find one myself. To my luck my imaginary friend was a hamster

Growing up in Florida, we didn't have much need for a fireplace. Fortunately, according to Mom, we had a great big hole in the wall, where the air conditioning filter was, so Santa could still get in the house from the roof.

When I was 5, my dad was a cop. He was involved in a high-profile drug sting, and as a result, there were death threats on him and on my family. We got used to him checking the door with a pistol in his hand.
One night in December, Dad went outside for a few minutes to "check around" as he did frequently. Suddenly, I heard bells and a loud, "HO, HO, HO!" coming from my bedroom window! I shrieked and ran for my mother in terror, and Mom asked me, "What's wrong, honey?"
My panicked response: "Mommy, we've gotta stop Daddy! He's gonna shoot Santa!"

when I was six years old I was under the impression that Santa Claus' sleigh was on my room. I looked out the window every so often. I looked on last time and was sooo convienced that it was his sleigh, but it was the our Gutter that's all! I was totally mistaken and sad...

When I was about 6, I believed that all widowed women who dressed in black were witches trying to escape their sorrow by passing it on to others. I found I could thwart them by making them smile and thus turn them back into normal people.

So I'm the youngest in my family and when we were younger my sister and brother would play together but exclude me. So I made up an imaginary friend named Kathy at the time I was two. I started to tell everyone about Kathy who's mom was in jail, her brother named Dayeco (day-echo) drowned in dirty water, kathy lived in a swear at one point in her life and also she didn't have a dad because I didn't think she needed one. I also used to believe that I could "turn her off and on" so if I didn't feel like playing with her then she would just disappear and when I felt like playing with her then she would come out of the swear and play with me. I also used to believe that she lived in the swear close to my house. Lol I was a weird child with a huge imagination.

One year, when I was a kid and still believed in Santa, it was a cold but snowless Christmas Eve in Chicago and I wanted to wait for Santa to show up. I didn't go to bed as I was supposed to but instead waited and waited and kept on looking out my frosted bedroom window. All of a sudden my Dads car pulls up in front of our house. My Dad gets out of the car and then, lo and behold who gets out of the passenger side but none other than ole Saint Nick ( my Dads slightly lubed buddy dressed like Santa) himself. They open the trunk and remove a bag of presents and walk up to the house. I'm excited as all get up but my young mind is thinking...hey..what's up with this?
Well they come in through the front door and to their surprise ( their plan was for Dad was to slip into bed with Mom and then Santa was to make some racket to awaken us ) I'm already at the bottom of the stairs yelling out at the top of my lungs "Santa Clause is here" which then woke everybody else in my family up.
Well after Santa gave us our presents, the wheels in my young head started turning again and I looked at my Dad and asked...Daddy, why was Santa in your car and where is his sleigh and reindeers???
My Dad was stumped but Santa, with a glass of eggnog in his hand, looked at me, paused and then said "Johnny, as you can see, there's no snow on the ground or up on your roof for my sleigh to land on... so I called your father and he picked me up at O'Hare airport.
That made perfect sense to me!
i once caught my christmas list in my dad's office, when it was supposed to be at the north pole. i became upset until my father explained he had santa's fax number. i was duly impressed.

When I was a child, I used to believe that there were ghosts, witches and vampires in my grandmother's house, and never wanted to sleep there. The house was dark, with old furniture and many mysterious paintings, some antiques, even the doors squeaked. My grandmother had a black cat, and she always dressed in black clothes. I used to believe that my grandmother was a witch.

When i was really little, my mum told me that when i lost my teeth, the tooth fairy took them away, gave my a lolli and she meltedthem down to make milk!
THat was where my milk with my cereal came from. When i knew milk came from cows, it was turned to sugar! That was why dipping your finger in sugar made your teeth hurt, because you were rubbing teeth on teeth!
I use to believe that the things rattling around in spray paint cans were baby teeth that the tooth fairy sold to the paint company, that's how she got her money

When i was a little girl I actually thought I could fly. Just like in the disney movies with the fairies and the fairy dust. I figured if i could just get a hold of some "fairy dust" I could reach straight up to those clouds. In fact, I remember having a little necklace w/ something attached to it, on the outside it said fairy dust...(you could open it up...it had to be glitter or something in there) but at the time i thought it was real fairy dust! So... one day i went in my backyard, sprinkled some on, stepped up on my slide w/ my arms spread out, and jumped off. Hahah! I was so disappointed to find out i was just falling.

When my brother was younger, my father and I told him that he was adopted and that we had actually found him in the yard, dropped off by aliens. We told him that one day the aliens would come back to take him back to his home planet. One night, my father went outside and shined a flashlight through the window on the ceiling. I told my brother is was the aliens returning to take him away. He darted under his bed and couldn't be coaxed out for a couple of hours. After that he rarely believed anything my fathr or I ever told him.

When I was little my Nanna told me that she was making up a potion so we could live in my dollhouse together. We'd even save teh toothpicks from sandwiches to poke the cats in the feet in case they tried to eat us. I alwasy wondered what was taking her so long to come up with the potion, and was really upset when I realized there was none.

When I was a little girl my brother told me that white, styrofoam packing peanuts were, in fact, ghost poop. It seemed perfectly logical to my 4 year old ears, and from what little I knew about ghosts it looked exactly like what ghost poop should look like.

You know when you look up at your dark ceiling at night you can kind of see spots? Well, my sister told me these spots were fairies and that in the center of every room was a tooth fairy. Every bedroom had it's own tooth fairy and the other fairies worked for her and would pass messages from room to room.
