I used to believe…

When i was younger i always thought that every one was a monster at night. Every one but me. i would always hide under my bed because i thought i was safe where they couldn't find me.

i used to believe (and i still do) that if and eyelash came out on its own and you made a wish upon tht eyelash the wish would come true. and it has always worked for me so i still do it =)

I used to believe that two lizardmen lived under my bed and that they would grab me by the ankles to pull me under and kill me if I got my feet too near the bed while getting out to get water or use the bathroom. I got very good at leaping from my bed to the door and back again. Later, I adapted it so that the lizardmen were a bit more like Abbott & Costello and never managed to grab me-- I think I was trying to make it less scary for myself.

I used to believe there were monsters in the crack between my bed and the wall. They had long arms and could reach up and grab me if I slept next to the wall. I also believed my stuffed animals came alive when I was sleeping at night to protect me.

Well, when I was like 3 ish I invented and imaginary friend named Chessie. She was two years older than me and had curly red hair. When I was 11 I made up her little brother who was my age. His name was Cameron and I had a crush on him. After a little bit I had a little sister named Sarah but then she became my twin. She also liked Cameron, and when he asked me out she got all mad and disappeared. Then my (real) best friend had an imaginary boyfriend named Seth and Cameron and him were friends. Chessie had long since vanished. Then after a while Cameron and I broke up because of the real guy I liked. (he actually asked me out last week) Now Sarah is back as my little sister. She's 5 and I'm 12. It is ok for older kids to have imaginary friends!!!!!!!!

I had two imaginary scottie dog friends based on these Beany Babies we had. When we drove to places, they had to sit in the trunk because there wasn't enough room in the front of the car. One day, they moved back to Scotland.

When I was about six, I had a whole imaginary "magic" world which could only be reached by walking in a certain pattern in the woods behind my yard. I pretended I was a boy named Harley (who did ballet, like I did at the time), and I was illegally learning magic from a woman named Elspeth. Apparently I was the only person from the "real world" who could access this place, and therefore I had to protect both worlds from the evil Prince of the Night. As it turned out, the only reason he was evil was because he didn't have a name. I defeated him and gave him a new name, and then we got married. I guess same-sex marriage was legal in the magic world!

A few years later, my friend and I were horse-crazy and would pretend we had a whole herd of horses and that my front yard was actually a countryside where we raced the horses. One of my horses died and I told my friend I was going to carve his name into the wall of the "stable", which was actually part of our wooden fence. Good thing I never did, since that fence was brand new.

When I was younger I would play this game in the bathroom where I would pretend I had a bunch of little mice, and I would set a hight for them, then put them in hard to escape spots. For example, maybe I would put one on top of the sink who was maybe only 2 inches tall, and then plan its whole escape route to the outside. It would use the dental floss, balance across the edge, or leap onto close objects, and always would make it safely down.

When I was younger I was at a friends house for a sleepover party. Another one of the guests, also my friend was really pale. When we all layed down to sleep my sleeping bag was beside hers. I became convinced that she was a vampire because she was pale and just layed there and didnt go to sleep. EventuallyI had to change places with someone else. We're still friends and I know now she is human.

i thought the eatser bunny was real, and santa, too, lmao, but my parents and family members told me on xmas eve night, lmfao

I was friends with this boy and one day we were playing in his basement and that's when he told me this story about pitch black, the evil shadow. He told me that if I look at my shadow that pitch black would take over it and eat me. He also told me that at night if you saw George Washington through your window, it was pitch black. I believed it (I was a REALLY stupid kid.) I was so afraid to look at my shadow and I wouldn't even look out the window because I was afraid to see George Washington. Then one day my friend told me he captured pitch black in his screen door. I believed that too. But maybe... he's still out there...

i used to be told by my mum that if i "wasn't asleep when santa came", his fairy friends would squirt their fairy magic into my eyes and blind me. =[
I was told that this is what happened to blind people.

That was pretty cruel.

When i was young, i had this wallpaper with x patterns on it. I used to stare into the wall and imagine the x's and little flying birds. I would watch them fly all over the walls until they decided to migrate and never come back

When I was little, probably about two or three, my older sister convinced me and my friend that she was Tinker Bell, And that she could take us to Neverland. She would have us take arm hands and she would take us. She would tell us that everything in Neverland looked the same as it did in our world. Me and my friend would go around playing in Neverland, but of course we had to be careful that the pirates didn't catch us because my sister (being Tinker Bell) wasn't allowed to bring other people to Neverland.
