When I was about 10 and my little sister was four, we went on a family camping trip to France one summer. One day, I found Katie, my sister, starring at a tree a little way away from our tent. She told me that was were Boris, the cheetah, lived. Boris was a french cheetah, who was pink (with pink spots), and, coincidentaly, loved all the food which Katie hated (nameably, everything healthy.). Boris came home with us, and for about the next year and a half, whenever my Mum said 'Katie, eat your vegetables.', she always answered, 'But then Boris will starve!'

To this day, we don't know if Boris was an honest figment of my little sister's imagination, or a clever ploy to guilt my parents into giving her more biscuits.

As a kid I had a back up plan at Christmas, if Santa thought I had been bad and didn't bring me any gifts I had it planned that I would simply set out all my toys that I already had and just act surprised. For some reason I thought my parents would fall for it if it actually came down to that. I have no reason why I actually ever came up with this because I was a really good kid!

When I was little, my mom knew I loved holidays. So she on valentines day she said there was a valentines day fairy that came and brought me valentine's heart shaped chocolate! My mom made it look like that the chocolate appeared out of nowhere, and I thought it was sooooo cool, and when I told everyone at school, someone told me that my mom was pretending. I was so sad and hated my mom forever.

Father Christmas used to like a bottle of beer in our house so I'd imagined how he'd feel when he got home after visiting every house imagine all that beer in one night. No wonder he had a red nose and a beer belly.

We would have an easter egg hunt then when all the eggs were found we would go inside and devour our finds. Not me how can these adults know where the easter bunny would put all his eggs, I would continue looking for weeks.

I used to believe that the "booger man" would come bite off your fingers if you picked your nose. (my grandpa told us that) he lost his fingers in a work related injury and told us that is how he lost his fingers!

hall of fame

I used to believe that the "booger man" was a tall skinny guy that was covered in boogers

When I was little, my parents told me that there wasn't a tooth fairy, they said instead, there was a tooth mouse...so they told me to put my tooth in a shoe by the side of my bed, and then in the morning the tooth mouse would have left me some money. Apparently the mice had there own kingdom made out of teeth, and they slept in shoes, they sold my teeth to other mice for cheese...and I actually believed them!

I am 19 and have two imaginary best friends (one girl and one boy).
They dont play anything with me, but whenever i am down or just feeling lonely they will come and comfort me.

I believed in the Candy Man thing (that you do in front of a mirror) because when my friend and I tried it, the doorbell rang immediately after we finished. I know it isn't true, but it still creeps me out.

I always wanted an imaginary friend, but I never actually had one, so I would walk around pretending to talk to my imaginary friend, but I couldn't really see one!

I used to believe that my television set was inhabited by a strange creature called Ginger. Ginger resembled an anteater, except he was covered in feathers. He was bright blue with orange stripes. He liked to come out of the TV at night, when I was sleeping. His favorite hobby was moving around my things, and I always blamed him when my hairbrush went missing. (He loved that hairbrush--I would ALWAYS blame him whenever I couldn't find it, which was most mornings.)

One night, when my friend Ashley was sleeping over, we devised a plan to capture Ginger and put a stop to his antics for good. It involved a peanut butter sandwich, a drawing of some grapes, and an old fruit crate... We never did catch him, but my parents wondered what the heck I'd tied to my window rod...

when i was a kid i used to think santa had a magic key that opened every door since we didnt have a chimney.... also in that song where santa sees everything we do i thought it was only logical he had a crystalball to see us like pshcics :P

Since I was 4, I thought pink and blue ghosts came and stole my toys while I slept (though, usually, I misplaced them the day before and blamed it one the ghosts). I even think I saw one once. ;) Soon I made an imaginary swarm of super-strong flies to keep them away. I still pretend that they're there; Some times when I'm reeeeaaally bored I imagine them flying about. ^_^ I'm currently 12.

im pretty sure everyone has heard the Bloody Marry story..

when i was 10 i went to my first ever "sleep away" camp where u actually stay there for a week or two.. the first night they jumped right in on scary stories but their version was "the girl with long blonde hair"...

in the story the girl with long blonde hair was trapped in the bathroom and if u were there alone she would kill u and make u take her spot..

she came out of the mirrors or toilets..

lets just say i only used to bathrooms in case of emergency and only took like 2 showers...i even ran out of there screaming cuz i thought i hear her calling my name

When I was little I had an "aunt" who was my imaginary friend. Her name was Aunt Itallyamoo (it-ul-e-ah-moo) Supposedly she cooked the best pastina in the world! She had a husband named Jack. He used to get kicked out of the car from my Aunt Itallyamoo and pee on peoples lawns. Of course he was fake also. My grandmother sent me a card that was Aunt itallyamoo and she sent me pastina! I freaked out! Jack looked like a gray haired Bob Saget :D and Aunt itallyamoo looked like the fat kid from the disney show Recess. The freaky part was....The kid who she looked like was a boy! I loved her so much! I can still see them in my mind.

I used to have a family made up of a lady, a robot and a few other characters i can't remember, all in my mind. They would never appear before me, but they'll just advise me in my mind. Sometimes, the robot would talk so loud, I had to shut my ears, but to no avail. But, they have disappeared for very long already. I guess it was my mind's way of bringing me on the right track and making good decisions as a small kid.
