We had a t chest in the room that night with the metal beading down the side that was reflecting the light from the lamppost outside and shining..I was sooo scared I had to go sleep in with my mum..ahhh bless

I used to think a troll lived on my building's top floor/attic. One time, my neighbor came to my mom crying, all cut up and bruised and I thought the troll got her.

When I was little, maby 5. My mom sat out in the livingroom and watched a vampire movie. I sneaked under the sofa table and started to watch, when i was supposed to sleep in my bed.
After what i saw that day, I alway have to make sure that
the blanket covered up all around my neck so that if a vampire would come when i was asleep, they couldn't bite my neck.
And still.. I'm 25 years old now. I can't sleep without having the blanket covering my neck. No matter how warm it gets i have to have that blanket there.

When I was a kid my mom and dad got divorced. My father moved to a house where the toilet was in the basement. I seriously believed that vampires were down there, specially Dracula. I thougth that if I was singing they coulden't move, the were frozen. I did this whenever I had to go somewhere alone after dark. So I went around everywhere singing loudly..

I am a boy from Norway . When i was a child , i saw a cartoon called ''mumi trollet'' ! In that cartoon , it was a ice queen called '' vinter damen'' , a big ghost called ''hufsa'' , and millions of small ghosts called '' hattifnatter '' ! I was really scared for those monsters ! But i was must scared
of ''vinterdamen'' .. Because she could do sombody to ice when she saw them in their eyes !
I used to belive that ''vinter damen'' was in my brothers room , and came into my room at night , to see me in my eyes ! Thanks to the cartoon ''mumi trollet '' , i was so scared that i had to lie with my dune over my head , and over the rest of my body ! I was so stupid ! :)

When I was a little girl, I fell secetly "in love" with people I saw on TV. For example: When I was 9, I fell in love with Harry Potter.
"We" walked together to school every day, and talked. I wasn't talking loud, because I knew he was fake - I was just thinking. It gave me a good feeling, and I were never alone.
I had a lot of fun, when I was alone then :)
Aw, I miss that feeling ...

when I was little I used to believe that when santa came down the chimney and poked his but in the fireplace he used the milk as rubbing alchohol and the cookies as band-daids

I use to believe monsters lived in the heating duct vent in the older houses that was in the wall. when I would go to bed I would hide under the blakets and plead with them not to hurt me or my babies...dolls.. then when I would have to use the toilet, I would run very quickly and low and behold another vent. I would talk to it pleading for time and not to hurt my baby dolls I had hidden under the blankets. I was afraid to even let my feet out of the sheets and now to this day I can't sleep with the blankets on my feet or at least not having the blankets over the edge of the bed confining my feet.

I used to believe…

To make my little brother and I clean our rooms for Easter (when my grandparents came to visit) my mom told us that if our rooms wern't clean the easter bunny whould poop on our floors. You better believe that my room was clean!

Originally, I thought that Santa was an ok guy. But that changed when I got a little older. We would always go to my grandparent's house for Christmas. We would go to bed on Christmas Eve, and wake up on Christmas morning to find that Santa had left us presents. One year, when I was old enough to start reasoning, I asked my parents, "But how does Santa get inside to leave presents? Grandma and Grandpa don't have a chimney and fireplace?" My parents answered, "Well, he probably comes through the door, or a window."

He comes through a door or window? At night? While we're sleeping? Sounds like a criminal to me. Just like that, my idea of a jolly, generous, old, cookie-loving man was erased and replaced with a cold, hardened criminal who enjoyed breaking and entering.

I cried and cried until my parents told me he wasn't real. A rush of relief flooded over me. I went to bed happy, knowing that Santa wouldn't be breaking in anytime soon, but I would still be getting my presents.

my neighbors used to work nights and i never saw them come out during the day. so i told all my friends they were vampires and we would put garlic, crosses, etc. at their front door all the time.

When I was a child I thought that in the village next to ours Santas, St Niklaus` and the Easter Bunnies House were and told my mom about it each time we passed those houses.

I wanted a dog very badly ever since I could remember. However, we lived in an apartment that didn't allow dogs. I figured that my parents didn't want to get a dog because they didn't think I was responsible enough, a common reply to many of my inquiries. I decided to prove to them that I was- I "found" a cocker spaniel puppy whom I named Spunky. She would always follow me around, even in school for a few days until she got me in trouble with some teachers. I would even put food and water out for her and leave certain spaces for her to sit. I would constantly talk to her and apologize for other people's rudeness towards her when they accidentally slammed a door on her.
My parents just thought I had an overly active imagination and told me Spunky wasn't real so cool it. I told them I knew that and would they please get me a real dog and went on taking care of her to prove my worthiness.
Funny thing, even when we finally got two dogs, I stirred up some plan that Spunky ran away because she got jealous of them even though I put out three bowls of food for awhile.

Once my dad did that trick where make it look like you're taking off your thumb. I was pretty young and it scared the crap out of me. I started screaming and crying because I thought he had really taken it off.

I used to watch some halloween movies, halloweentown, i think they're called. and I used to believe that i was like the girl, and my mom was a witch, and i was a half-witch, and I had to get trained before i turn 13 or else i'd be a human. So i kept asking my mom if we have extra-secret secrets, or where our family was from(halloweentown?), and about our ancestor's "jobs"(witchcraft?) or if she had any diaries (spellbooks?) from any dead relatives.

When I was a kid a believe that if you didn't close your bedroom curtains or blinds closed, even leaving a small crack open, that aliens could beam you out of your bedroom. If your curtains the rule was they weren't allowed to beam you away. I still kinda believe that =0)

When I was little (5~7, maybe), I used to spend Saturday nights at my Aunt Grace and Uncle Don's. so I could go to Sunday school with their 5 daughters. They had, on top of thei fridge, a white china hen, whose to lifted off. My Uncle would always give me a quarter to put in the chicken dish before bedtime. Then every Sunday morning, before breakfast, he'd suggest I check to see if the chicken layed more money~~and I'll tell you what...she always did....I was truly amazed each and every week, and totally believed in the chicken for quite some time.....it is one of my cherished memories, and even more so ,as my cousins say he never did it for ANYONE else. I'll never forget You, Uncle Don, or that magical chicken............
