When I was little, at around the tender age of seven and eight, I had an Imaginary friend named Violet. We did almost everything together, but one day she died, Trying to protect me from evil witches that lived under my bed..It was very sad. I cried for three days and I even made a pretend funeral and everything.I was one strange little girl. But now I have new Imaginary friend's, named Panda the flying hamster, and Charlie the wooden man, (who is about the size of a loaf of bread, wears a three piece tuxedo and a top hat, he is VERY polite, and likes tea and cookies). Im almost fifteen. I only have two friends in real life!

My friend and I were talking about imaginary friends who lived inside your head when you were little. I said I had an older version of me living iside my head who would tell me what to do when I was little. She sat on a couch all day and was much cooler than me. My friend said she had Timone and Pumba from the Lion King living in her head when she was little. She used to shake her head and they would fall out of her ear when she tried to get rid of them, but they always came back. We were odd children.

When I was young I used to believe that the ticking of my clock would draw Captain Hook to my room, where he would assault me with his hook.

Another Captain Hook story: when I was at Disneyland as a small child, I used to think that Captain Hook's sword was real, so when I met him, I tried to pull out his sword. Upon failing, I thought he was really mad at me.

I had a kitten for an imaginary friend. My mom tells me that I'd cup my hands and carry this "kitten" around everywhere. After using the bathroom, I'd place the imaginary kitten next to the sink and wash my hands, then carefully pick it up and go out to play. As far as I can recall, my kitten did not have a name. I still love cats, though!

i used to think Peter Pan was real after watching the Disney movie. i actually wrote him a note, asking him to bring me to Neverland, and stuck it on my window. The next morning it was gone. I wondered if he took it? (:

When I was about 5 I had an imaginary friend called Simon. Whenever my family and I drove past a rich-looking house, I would say, "That's Simon's house!" I would point to random pictures of people in newspapers and magazines and say, "That's Simon!" When I was talking to someone I would often make sure to let them know what Simon thought.

When I was little I came to the conclusion that the Easter Bunny wan't real, because I knew that a rabbit couldn't possibly go around giving Easter Eggs to everyone in the world in one night. I thought that there was a group of men who gave out Easter eggs, and at night before Easter they would visit each house and give them Easter eggs.

When I was younger and still believed in Santa and the Tooth Fairy, my loose tooth came out on Christmas eve. That nigh,t I thought that Santa and the Tooth Fairy would both come into my house at the same time and bump into each other. I attempted to stay awake so I could see both of them but I ended up falling asleep.

When i was 4-8 I lived in a house with no chimney, only a back deck. So my parents told me Santa came in through the back deck. When I was 6 I asked for a puppy for Christmas and my parents got me one the night before but were going to surprise me in the morning. My dad had to stay in the basement all night so the puppy wouldn't bark and ruin the surprise. At about 3 am my dad stepped outside on the deck for some fresh air and I heard a nose, peeked out of my room and saw my dad, who is a large man. However, since it was very dark I was absolutely convinced I had seen Santa. This gave my parents a good laugh when they were telling me there was no Santa years later and I used this to protest.

I used to have a kitchen knife "friend" named ben. He never really "talked", he just sent me messages with his head.Once I was using him and lost him in the kitchen.

I used to believe…

Native American's lived on another planet. Popular PBS show READING RAINBOW used to show different groups of people then zoom out to an image of the planet earth. I thought if they lived on earth they wouldn't be showing a planet. I didn't know all planets looked different!

I used to believe…

there was a creepy old polish woman who used to live two houses down from me when i was little.
me and my next door neighbour believed she was a witch and you had to hold your breath as you walked past because if you breathed the same air as she had then you would die.

I used to believe…

One night when I was in bed I pulled the covers over my head and saw little oranges sparks. This lead me to the conclusion that fairies lived in my bed. It wasn't till I was older that I worked out it was just the statick on my pj's when I rubbed my legs together

My uncle led me to believe that in autumn, fairies would take shelter from rain by using fallen leaves. When it stopped raining they would leave money under the leaves as tokens of appreciation.

As a little kid, I used to believe that vampires would bite my neck while I was sleeping. The way to prevent it was to make sure the blanket covered up my neck before I fell asleep. To this day I'm uncomfortable if I fall asleep with my neck uncovered. (I'm 47.)

— Uneasy Sleepermake-believe : vampires

I came to the conclusion at an early age that Santa Claus did not exist because if the technology he had was real, such as a flying sleigh that could travel around the world in one night, then he would have given the technology to the American government to use against the Soviets and there would be no Cold War. The fact that this didn't happen was proof enough to me that there was no Santa Claus.

I used to believe…

During my first trip to Disneyland as we were waiting in line for the Small World ride, my uncle jokingly told me that there was a dragon at the end of the ride that ate the kids in boat #5. When it was our time to board I was under the impression that we were in boat #5 (not sure if the boats were really numbered). I cried during the entire ride.

I used to believe…

When I was little I wouldnt sleep on the side of the bed next to the wall because a vampire would jump out and plant baby vampires in my throat and they would grow and take over the world.

I used to believe…

My number one argument that Santa Claus was real was the fact that it would be ridiculous and next to impossible to teach all the grownups in the world how to be Santa Claus.
