I used to believe…
wen i was about 4 and my sister sophie was 6 we used 2 believe heavily in the boogeyman.
It used to be under our bed, in the pantry, and most especially out side in the bush.
So every time we went on the trampoline my sister would guard it with my dads golf club and vice versa.
i still believed this until my neighbours troy n brady came over and we camped the night in the bush.
haha we all had golf clubs :])
I believed that absolutely everyone had imaginary friends... and i NEEDED one, so of course, i went out looking for an imaginary friend not actually thinking that i had to think it up! So in the end I couldn't find an imaginary friend so i pretended that I had and even acted like it was real even though I knew that there wasn''t anything there at all!!! To this day my family still talks about how I had an imaginary friend... Unfortunately I don't have the heart to say that there wasn't anyine there...

When I was in first grade I didn't believe in Santa but my classmates told me that if I didn't I wouldn't get any presents so I automatically started believing in him and I still sorta do to this day. (though the belief is sorta fading. Kinda tired of going to bed at nine every Christmas due to that belief.)
I used to be deathly afraid of monsters. I even had a plan for every possible situation if a monster happened to get in my room at night. I shared a room with my sister and my sister slept on the bottom bunk and I slept on the top bunk. I believed that any monster would eat her first and would be too lazy to get me. Even if they weren't feeling lazy I would get a headstart running while they were eating my sister. If I was sleeping alone I would tuck the sheets over my head and around my body, until I was practically suffocating.

Ever since I can remember, up until around age 12 or so, I would go into my room at night, put on my PJ's, get into bed, reach over and turn the light off and then REALLY QUICKLY put my whole body under the covers. I'd lay there for hours just making sure no body parts were "exposed" for the two terrible monsters at the foot of the bed, just waiting for a chance to get me. Somehow that blanket saved me...lol. Even wierder was that, if I ever accidentally exposed my foot or arm or anything, or came up for air after nearly suffocating, I'd always say "oh, it's ok, they went to McDonald's." LMAO! Why McDonald's, I don't know.

When I was little my one of my imaginary friends was at the time a long blackish brownish haired guy who I later found out was Weird Al.

when we were little, my grandparents used to have little feathery bird ornaments on their christmas tree. my grandfather used to tell us if we gently petted a bird, it would magically start to chirp....and it did!!!!! but how???? we used to believe that somehow they were real...but they just didn't move or chirp unless he was around when we petted them....AT ALLLL!!! hahaha! what we didnt know is that he also had a little silver ball ornament hanging on the tree that had a little switch on it and while we were distracted petting the bird...he would flick the switch and the chirping began. After he passed away, my mother continued to do it to us...It wasnt until years later that we realized what was going on LOL :)
i believed a red one eyed monster would get me if i did not go to bed by ten. If I was awake still my mother would point out of the window and sure enough there would be the glowing red eye of the monster winding its way along the country road . Ahhhhhrg. I was never up after ten......
when I grew up....my mum confessed it was our drunk neighbour driving his car home after his regular visit to the local public house, the car had no functioning lights except one tail light, old red eyes..........

My friend's little girl firmly believed Rikki Lake (yes, the chat show hostess) was her best friend. she'd sit there and have whole conversations with Rikki and couldn't believe no-one else could see her.
she also had another imaginary friend called Goosy Bambi and an imaginary fox friend called Trevor.
I used to believe…
When I was little, my older brother had an imaginary friend named Banjo. He would go on adventures with im, and then come and tell me about them. I felt bad because no imaginary friends liked me enough to be mine, so I started pretending to have an imaginary friend just to impress him.

I used to believe…
Knowing that Santa Clause was always watching me and possessed of the speed to deliver all of those presents all over the world in a single night, and with annual, tangible proof of his existence, I would sometimes pray for Santa Clause to protect me if I was afraid of some situation.
I used to believe…
when i was about 6 or seven and i had an imaginary friend named Sally. well i didn't really like her so i called her stupid sally. since i called her that i thought she was out to get me at night, so i would always cover my head with the balnket. when i was about 13 i knew sally wasn't real. but i still cover my head when i sleep and i'm 20 now.

After my mom told me the truth about Santa Claus, I was very upset. But being somewhat clever, I quickly asked my mom, "So, does that mean the Easter Bunny's fake, too?"
I used to believe…
When me and my cousin were young, we believed there was a ghost in one of my grandparents bedroom closets. So, we tried to "fight" the ghost using toilet plungers. I carried around the manual plunger while my cousin used the heavy-duty automatic "super-sucker". Boy, were we weird!

When I was little I had imaginary friends named Trease abd Ana. They were so fun to play with. Then me and my sister kept adding more and more people. Finally we added a baby named baby shawna she eventually died. It was just some good times
I beileved thst Mary-Kate and Ashley (Olsen) were my imaginary friends. They would follow me around whenever I wanted them too. Sometimes I would get mad at them I would "kill them" by pushing them off buildings. They I would call the adoption agency where I got them and have them photocopy 'imaginary twin sisters" again for me.
I used to watch a tv show about a girl who winked her right eye and this way she could make everything happen.
So there was a girl that liked to piss me off and make me cry and we walked through the beach, she was a few meters before me and I winked my right eye to make her fall down. And - I fell down. The same second. There was nothing on the ground that would possibly make me fall, it was 12 years ago and I'm still not so sure it was a pure coincidence.
Needless to say, I never tried again.
