When I was in Grade One, my school shared the same building as my church, and the other students in my grade believed that there was a ghost in the chapel room who played the piano after everyone left. You could hear the piano playing, but it was actually someone practicing for the next service on Sunday. The kids didn't believe that, however.
One day, myself and several classmates were walking past the chapel when we heard the piano playing again. Suddenly, one kid looked through the window and shouted, "It's the Chapel Ghost! Run!" All the other kids ran away. I peeked into the window to see for myself.
It was a man carrying a pile of clear plastic covers, which partially hid his face.
The "Chapel Ghost" was never brought up again.
I used to believe in Santa 'till I came down on Christmas morning and saw a strater strange wrapping paper. My older sister said that it was Santa's wrapping paper but, later that day I saw it with all the other wrapping paper.

I used to believe that christmas oriments were to keep Santa Claus company.
I used to crawl under my bed because I believed it was the only safe place to hide from Indians. I thought they would raid our house and kill my family, while riding horses in my bedroom. I think this logic was provoked by the movie "The Indian in the Cupboard".
Years later I found out I was part Native American... :\

When I was small I used to imagine that when I was lying awake in bed at night the Power Rangers would saw a hole in my ceiling, and I knew that one day they'd lift me up through it and I'd be able to go on an adventure with them.
This never happened unfortunately.
As well as this I imagined a little mouse family lived inside my mattress, so when up until very recently (I'm now 15) when you lie on your side and can ocasionally hear your pulse, I thought vaguely "Oh, there goes the mouse family."
I used to think santa was real, so I wrote him a letter asking for a laptop. my father stumbled over the letter accidentaly and read it. On Chistmas Eve, a big box with "To:Alissa From: Santa" was given to me by my father. He told me he got it from the Post Office, since we didn't have a chimney. I was so happy, I believed every word. Now I am older, and I know that Santa doesnt exist, and that he doesn't send presents in the mail!

When I was in grade school a girl used to say she was an alien and she had this hair elastic that she called her pet alien Huke, she would use fishing wire to make it move so everyone thought it was really an alien animal.
When we got out of the 5th grade I finally concluded that she isnt really an alien, and she taught me the trick and gave me the elastic. I thought it was pretty cool lol. She was odd though.

My classmates believed that there was a ghost who lived in our auditorium and played the piano that was in there when no one was there (the building that housed our school was also a church, so the pianist would practice for the next service in there.) (Another thing to note: I didn't believe this story). One day, a bunch of my classmates and I were walking by the room, when the piano playing started again. One of the kids looked in the window and yelled, "It's the ghost! RUN!" and many of the students ran away. I looked into the window to see for myself what the kid had seen.
It was a man carrying a pile clear plastic covers that concealed his face.
After that, the "ghost" was never brought up again.

When I was little, I was forced to take singing lessons from this little cassette tape. (Hey, it was the early ninties.) I was always shy to warm up and or/sing in front of anyone. One day, my babysitters were ordered by my mum to make sure I warmed up my voice sometime that day with the little tape. I didn't want to sing in front of my babysitter's family, yet alone their mean old sister who was five years older than me. I had to warm up in her room and she didn't like the idea.
To solve the problem, they gave me "magical" earphones. They claimed that once I put them on, no one would be able to hear me but me. They seriously, seriously had me believing in it. They played along, putting them on and just mouthing off words... and I waz like.....WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I started to warm up with the earphones, I looked over at their sister "who was keeping a stone-cold strait face." I decided to test out my new-found magic and say things. I said a lot of stupid things, even calling her poopy-face
I looked over at her, grinned and told her that her mamma looked like the blue sink monster from the cartoon "Bump in the Night." at the top of my voice. That's when she got up and pushed me into the laundry basket.

When I was 5, my mother told me on Christmas Eve that my dolls were really alive and they have been watching me and "reporting on me" to Santa Claus all year if I really was a good little girl. She even added that they go to the tree to great Santa and offer him our cookies and milk. Then she gently kisses me goodnight and sneaked out into the hallway.
Terrified in my bed, watching the glass eyed dolls staring at me... I waited a little while... gather up everything, including Mr. T action figures and Barbies and I snuck out to the living room and put them all in the fireplace and locked the fire screen to trap them in. I figured Santa would come down and crush them before they could talk or come back to kill me in my sleep.
Needless to say, my parents were bewildered to find me asleep in the living room with the fire poker to protect me from Santa's evil spy dolls.

When I was small, alot of my friends had imaginary friends, so in an effort to not be left out, I tried to create an imaginary friend. After a few days of talking to myself, I concluded that imaginary friends were not real and declared that my friends were just stupid.

when i was at my grandpas ( i was about 5) i saw a furry gray thing twitching in the window.'' grandpa there's a monster in the window!'' i screamed. '' thats a squirells tail'' he said.
I was afraid to look at my bedroom window when it was dark out. I believed that vampires hung around outstide dark windows and if you looked at the window you would see them and then be hypnotized. Thus in that state you would let them in and they would make me a vampire.

When I was a little kid, I believed I was marrying my imaginary boyfriend named Rusty. He had given me an engagement ring (which I stole from my mom's jewelry box) and I kept it in a little jar next to my bed. When people asked me where Rusty was, I told them he was in the backyard feeding the chickens, which was odd, seeing as to how I grew up in suburban New Jersey.
Naturally, everyone thought I was weird. I had forgotten all about Rusty until my mother told my now REAL boyfriend all about my sexual adventures as a five year old.

When I told a friend I used to have imaginary friends, she asked me what that was! Seizing the moment, I asked her if she wanted one. When she said yes, I made this whole long contract she had to fill out to "order" one. She did everything I told her to. She was 14.
