I used to think that when people were talking about the "Abominal Snowman" (more correctly known as the Yeti), they were saying "Invulnerable Snowman".

I was convinced that all grown-ups were aliens. The aliens had landed on earth and wore costumes that made them look human so they could take over the earth from within. When their children were born they would wear costumes too so they'd look like earth children but the problem was the zippers on the costumes had all got stuck and now they had no way of being able to tell who was a fellow alien and who was human or whether all the humans had actually died out because they didn't dare use anything more than the vaguest codes and could never be sure when they were talking to a human or a fellow alien.

I used to believe…

When I was in high school I developed a theory that aliens had worked out a way to observe humans without us realizing it... they would push a button in their spacecraft that made it transform into the shape of a cloud. That way we would never suspect a thing! (Really, if they are smart enough to get to our planet in the first place...?)

The only way to get rid of the boogie monsters that lived in my closet was for my mom to get the broom and sweep them out of the closet, through the house, out the front door, and onto the sidewalk. All the while, she would need to yell, "Go away monsters!" or it wouldn't work.

I was taking a walk in the park with my grumpy great-grandmother. She wanted me to sit still so that she can talk to her friends so she sat me down on a bench and pointed at one of the big buildings that toward over the park in the distance and said, "There is a witch up on that building and if you don't sit still, it will eat you." I must have sat there for a good hour and a half without taking my eyes off the witch whom - I was extremely convinced - was moving about.

When I believed in Santa Claus, I didn't believe he flew in the air in his sleigh. I thought he rode on the ground like everyone else. Since I lived where there was no snow, I thought his sleigh made a heck of a racket sliding along the pavement.

I used to believe in the tooth fairy................................................................................until my sweet 16..............................................................................................Its True.

I used to beleive that when I turned a certian age, my parents would tell me that I was really a very powerful witch. as I started hitting the age I thought my powers would be revealed, I figured it would just happen at some other landmark birthday. I'm now 13, and nothing yet has happened. maybe when I turn 16 ;)

When I was 7, I used to be convinced that I was a Pokemon trainer. Charmander and Eevee were the Pokemon I used most often (like Pikachu) and I was the Gym Leader of Scarlet Town (I made it up -it was based on my hometown). Ash/Brock was my boyfriend and often cared for me when I was injured, tenderly bandaging my wounds and kissing me on the forehead. At one point, I made a "Trojan Horse" type trap for Team Rocket, which was a "present" made from a LARGE cardboard box for Meowth from his cousin "Towner".

This continued until I was 11.

I used to believe…

When I was a child i believed that there was a monster under my bed and it i didnt get to my bed from the doorway in 6 steps it would jump out and eat me....i had a large room and my bed was on the other side, so on the 6th step i always had to jump. I eventually grew out of this but i always made it to my bed in 6 steps.

I used to believe…

When I went to bed as a child I used to believe a little monster or somthing of some kind would come into my room and try doing somthing to me.
So I believed if I put my head under the bed covers, and made sure there were no gaps around me, they couldn't get in to get me.

when i was little i used to watch a show that had a boy and a girl mouse when i got bored i just put my hand up to a wall and they would walk onto my hand. and when i went in the car my dad had a gas lid that would open and close like a door and i would put my two mousey friends in it

I believed in Santa, until one year - I think I was about 9. I was climbing up on the kitchen cupboards to get a mug out of the cupboard above, and I was just tall enough to look on top of the cupboard, so you know, I took a look at what was up there, as any other curious child would, to find and old dusty letter that said 'Santa' on it. Then I picked it up and realised this was one of the letters I wrote to santa years ago, and my parents had hid it there ever since. I got really upset and threw a tantrum because I found out Santa wasn't real, and my parents had hidden my letter there.

i used to believe that every tuesday night the dead would have a parade. for them it was a grand festival but if a human layed eyes on them the goblin leader of the parade would take a bone and rap it on your gate. that was a mark and and the goblins would come back the next day and kill you no matter what. the thought that there would be no escape once i was marked terrified me beyond words but i was so impossibly curious to see it. i used to stay up all night tuesday nights listening under my window for the sound of theyre music but i was always too scared to peek because i knew if i did they would see me and id be marked. i have no idea where this whole story came from!
