I used to think whenever i wasn't looking at someone they would turn in to a alien. when they did they would have to hold their breath.
I thought that the Mexican illegal aliens were aliens from space who were dressed up like Mexicans. Just like what I saw in Men In Black.
Two stories for you...
Myself and my friend (also neighbour) have known each other many years...years means beliefs which we now laugh about.
On of these included Aliens, it started when he got a telescope out, having a good view from his window of the countryside we proceeded to scan around with the telescope.
On the horizon of this view was a pub (Thorn Tree), although looking at this pub through a telescope offered a whole different view! It seemed as though it was a yellow warning sign (like the 'Danger Electricity' ones you see). A yellow warning sign...without a doubt, ment aliens were present in the pub.
This carried on for a while whilst we 'monitored' the pub though the telescope...we even wrote down when they were at home!
Time passed and we built a map on how to get their, however, this was no ordinary, drawn out map...we were 7 or so, and we had more imagination then that! It was a block, made of lego...when held up to the light of his window, revealed gaps in the legos...the gaps showed roads on how to get there. We prepared a trip to the aliens 'pub'.
Packed a bag with drinks and food...and made the long journey there...however the journey spanned from our house to the end of the road. We never made it to that pub.
Were still great mates and joke about this story often.
Another story was (shorter then the other) when I was about 9 or 10. Lying in bed, unable to sleep. As I enjoyed sleeping with the curtains open (still do, cant cope in the dark...I think too much and cant sleep) and I happened to peek out of my window one night, only to see a low flying plane going at some speed, I thought It was a UFO, I paniced and jumped back into bed where I lay under the sheets shaking and then I finally fell asleep...Ive never spoken of this to anyone.
When I was about 8 or 9 i used to think that if I didn't hide under my covers and count to 10 and be asleep by the time I was finished that these aliens would come marching down my street in rows like an army and would stare at me until I was asleep. It scared the crap out of me. So I would always lay in bed and then when I was just about ready to fall asleep then I would count to ten. I'm 14 now and sometimes I think about when I would do this and say "Boy was I dumb!"
When I was little, and I couldn't get to sleep, I used to think that planes going overhead were aliens looking to kidnap children who weren't asleep when they should have been. I was always so scared, I would hide under the covers and shut my eyes tight and pretend with all my whole being that I was fast asleep so the aliens wouldn't take me away.
When I was about 8 yrs old i saw a scary movie about aliens. I was so freaked out after it that i would check the bathroom b4 aftr and in the shower. Sometimes I still check because of this Life on mars stuff goin on
I told my little sister that E.T. lived in my grandmother's room and he would come and get her if she wasn't careful. She would run past that room to get to hers.
I used to believe that the Cardassians would come and get me. This is why a child should not watch Star Trek before a certain age. I?m 15 and STILL terrified of the aliens when the come on TV.
my cousin once told me a story that he heard at camp about aliens that come while your asleep and pluck out your eyeballs and do experiments on them. I was afraid to sleep for a long time after that and if I did, I made sure to cover my eyes, just in case. i actually believed this until I was 10 or so.
when i frist saw the movie E.T. i was scared out of my mind and i though if i went outside at night that he would touch me with his finger and i would get sick boy was he scary
i used to believe aliens would come into your room while you were sleeping
so i didnt sleep for like 3 days until i told my dad an he told my that it doesnt happen
In elementry school, my friends and I beleived wholeheartedly that a barn immediately outside the school's fense was really an alein hide-out where they decided which one of us they wanted to eat.
I used to believe that cars were run by little aliens who pick up your car and run and then stop at stop lights because they hate the color red so i would always look uner the car to see if i could catch one...
As a child, I went to parties all the time and had a large collection of helium ballons. One day, I was channel surfing and saw a show on how there could be life on Mars.
Seeing this, I immediately got a lot of random, lightweight objects* and tied them to my ballons. I ran outside and let the ballons go, knowing that someday they's either reach Mars, or fall miraculously out of sky onto someone's head.
* the things I remember sending are: frozen hot dogs, a soggy feather, my dad's old watch strap, a song in a Ziplock bag, and a 'paper bag of air'
When I was little,I used to believe if you didn't brush your teeth every night,a little alien named Alf would kidnap you and take you to a little planet where people never cleaned anything! Boy,was I stupid!
When I first started school I had a recurring nightmare that everyone else in the school -- both teachers and kids -- had all been taken over by aliens masquerading as people and were intent on "assimilating" me next. I would run and hide under the coats hanging on racks, or lock myself in a toilet cubicle for as long as possible. This went on for some months before I (reluctantly) adjusted to school life. Only many years later when I saw the movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" did I realise that my paranoid fantasy was not unique to me but was apparently shared by enough other people to warrant making a successful movie about it!
when i was little i was kind of obcessed and terrified that aliens would come and take over the world. once we were in the grocery store and i saw the weekly world news with a picture of an alien on the cover. not knowing about the um..."creativity" or the articles published in the weekly world news, i was convinced that the aliens had finally come.
When I was four or five I always wanted to meet aliens. I thought that I would build a flying car to visit them on the weekends. That never happened.
When I was 8 years old I would pray to god to please please have the aliens come to abduct me. If god did this I would never ask for anything ever again. My mom heard me one night as she passed by my room and suggested that I stop because if the aliens abducted me she would miss me. I reluctantly stopped. Now that I am grown I think I may start that up again
when i was little i thought the predator hid in my attic and whenever my dad asked if i wanted to look around in there i'd run away screaming and hide under my bed
