My uncle led me to believe that in autumn, fairies would take shelter from rain by using fallen leaves. When it stopped raining they would leave money under the leaves as tokens of appreciation.

i used to believe that (if you ever watched the land of the giants) that small people would come alive while you was asleep. So one night i stayed up late and kept pretending that i was asleep in the hope of little people being in my bedroom......

When I was little my mom told me that a ring of mushrooms was a fairy ring. And that if I went out in the early morning when the dew was fresh on them, step inside the ring and make a wish it would come true the next morning. Never did work for me. Wonder if it was because the ring was always in the churchyard?

One night when I was in bed I pulled the covers over my head and saw little oranges sparks. This lead me to the conclusion that fairies lived in my bed. It wasn't till I was older that I worked out it was just the statick on my pj's when I rubbed my legs together

When I was little, I used to believe that Pater Pan was real and that one day he would come and get me and fly me away. So every morning I would get all dressed up and wait for him at my window sill.

In kindergarten, after our teacher read us a story about fairies, she would tell us all to close our eyes so that the 'fairies' would come and scatter lots of glitter all over the room, and we could collect it afterwards. I thought the fairies really did come at first, but then I started to suspect that this wasn't true. This was confirmed when one day, I just pretended to close my eyes, and saw my teacher scattering the glitter. I didn't tell anyone, though, because I didn't want to ruin it for them.

When I was young I somehow came to believe that there were fairies living in a tall, pine tree in our yard. The bark reminded me of hundreds of little doors and I thought that if I could only "open" one of the doors I could meet a fairy. I dug holes in several of the pieces and even used a key to an antique hutch to try to turn the "secret locks" on the "doors"--in other words--the holes I had made in the trees. One day my mom caught me "digging" in the pine tree bark with the key and asked me what the hell I was doing. She also told me that what I was doing could make the tree sick by exposing it to diseases of vegetation. I stopped, but I continued to believe that there were fairies in there that only came out at night.

When I was little, i used to believe that the tooth fairy had little bity colorful helpers that only came around while I was asleep. One night, when i lost a tooth, i decided to sleep on the couch so that i didnt miss a thing. I ended up falling asleep and having a dream about the little fairy helpers, so when i awoke in the morning, i was fully convinced that i had wittnessed them. of course now i know it was only a dream.
