My friend's mom used to go outside early on Christmas morning every year and make big "Santa and Reindeer" prints... Until 2nd grade, when my friend found the big boots and "hoofs" in the back of the closet...
when we were younger,on Christmas Eve, we all (there were 8 in all) were sent to the barn and told to be very quiet and at 12midnight, if we were very still, we could hear the animals talk. After all they were the first to see the baby Jesus. So all of us would go out about 11:30pm and wait, and wait, and wait for the animals to talk. When nothing happened we went back in the house and low and be hold....We once again missed seeing Santa delivering the gifts. Beautiful memories
I have two older sisters, and when we were little, my middle sister and I wrote letters to Santa Claus. Showed us where we could send them and get letters back(Of course, places in HER room). My oldest sister pretended to write letters to Santa like us, but really she was writing replies to the letters we had already written. She would put all of our letters in the sending spot and make sure we watched. Then while we waited outside for replies, she made excuses to go in and switched her letters to the recieving spot and hide ours somewhere where we wouldn't find them. She would come back out, and a few minutes later she would say, "Let's go see if he wrote back!" We would check, and of course our letters were gone and "Santa's" letters were there. I don't know when my sister caught on, but I didn't realize what she had done until years later!
When I found out that santa wasnt real (I was about 8) I pretended that I still beleived in him because I thought my mum would get upset. -._.-
i used to believe that reindeer were made up creatures and that they obviously didnt exist. but of course, santa and his flying sleigh did!
When i was little we were burgled on christmas night and all the presents were stolen along with the TV. My parents told me there were no presents because Santa was so angry with my behaviour over the past year he stole out TV. The next year I slept downstairs with a plastic sword waiting for Santa to make sure he didn't steal the new TV. Of course i fell asleep before the morning and unfourtunately my mum & dad arranged a man in a Santa suit to come to our house. When he arrived he and my parents walked into the living room where I was asleep. My dad woke me up and I saw santa standing there. As soon as i saw there were no presents i grabbed my plastic sword and ran at him in a rage shouting "THIEF! F*****G THIEF!"
i used to belive that at christmas everyones parents would meet up in a big hall and father christmas would hand out all the presents because there was no way he could skweeze through a chimney.
Whenever I acted up as a little girl, my mother would threaten to call '1-800-santaclaus' and tell him what a naughty girl I've been if I didn't straightened up. Then I would cry 'No, don't call Santa claus! I'll be good!'
i dont know why but i think my parents at one point told me santa lived in pizza crust so i would always just eat the center part being careful not to eat him
i used to belive santa was green
when i was little i was compleatly convinced that santa could hear me anywhere i was. he could hear me like god could. that letters were only an option. anyways, whenever i told my parents what i wanted i always got it and i got suspicious of them giving me what i wanted from santa. so whenever a toys r us magazine would arrive i take it to the center of the living room and say quietly to myself (eyes closed, head bowed) 'please santa gimme that' when my mother would come close to me and ask what i was doing i would bite her head off....im suprised i wasnt convicted....
When I was 4 or 5 on Christmas Eve I was excited and didn't want to go to sleep. So after my Dad went through numerous tries to get me to sleep he got fed up and said "If your not asleep when Santa comes and if he sees you he'll stab your eyes out so he won't have any witnesses." I was so scared in the morning after I peeked around the corners to see if Santa was still there or not.
when i was 3 i used to believe that santa lived in the lamppost outside my house. that's how he knew what i wanted for christmas
when i was younger my brother and his friend were talking on the phone when his friend asked to talk to me (8 at the time). But before he let me talk he told his friend to sound like Santa and i believed it! So for two years everyday i got to talk to "Santa" (his friend). Then finally he told me it was his friend i cried then attacked him!! hehe :D
i used to believe santa clause was god, and i prayed to him
When I was little I found a price tag from a store I knew on a present that Santa had left for me,since I knew that elves made all the toys I went to my mother and asked her why.She told me that sometimes Santa goes to the store to get the gifts the elves can't make, this sounded logical to a small child so whenever I saw an older man with a beard or a little person in a store I would think it was Santa or an elf getting all the gifts they couldn't make . I would walk up to them and give them a knowing look, usually they smiled and just thought I was an odd kid but I thought they were giving me a secret look like they knew I knew who they were.....
When I was 3 or 4 Santa came to my best friend.s house on Xmas Eve. She live right behind us. My dad told me (when I asked about why she got her presents on the 24th and I had to wait till morning) He said that Santa started his "run" at her house and then went all the way around the world and ended up at our house,Christmas morning. It made sense to me!!
I hate Santa Claws. I always thought he was some fat leprechaun-like demon who came into your house at night on Christmas eve. I always locked my bedroom door or slept with my parents until i found out through an older friend he didnt exist. I still hate Santa Claws.
After I discovered the "truth" about Santa Claus, Dad used to tell me that my presents were really hidden under my bed and that if I went to look for them, they would all disappear. I just couldn't stand it so one year I sneaked a look. Of course there were no presents. I thought all my Christmas gifts were gone forever! Dad let me cry for a good half hour before he fessed up and told me the truth. I can't wait to pull this one on my sister's kids...or my neighbor's kids...or random kids I see on the street...
For most of my life, my houses never had chimneys. I asked my brother How Santa Claus would get into our house.(i was 7). He said that Santa walks through walls. I didn't really believe that. But what made me believe, is that on Christmas Day, I saw a crack in the wall tht i never noticed before!
