My mom always said that Santas Birthday was the same as my brother. Then later in life i figured out there was no santa.

When we were younger (my sister is about 4 years younger than me) in the mid nineties, my sister wrote a note to Santa telling him that she left him diet 7-up and Saltines so that he could lose some weight. Hahaha!

To this day I believe that Santa only comes to houses where everyone believes, which explains everything. ^_~ I feel bad for him, because kids are so cynical nowadays.

We used to decorate our Cristmas tree with yummy candy canes. I always wanted to eat them, but my mom wouldn't let me because she said Santa wouldn't come if the candy canes were gone. We would visit my grandparents on Christmas Eve and every year on the way home I would pray that Santa had dropped off our gifts early so that I could eat a candy cane. One year I secretly took one before Christmas, and that was the year that Santa must have fallen asleep and slept in, because when I woke before the sun on Christmas morning, the gifts weren't there yet. My mom convinced me that Santa was just running late because of the snow, and if I didn't go back to bed and close the door and my eyes, he would skip over us because he was very shy. I came out of my room after a nap, and all the gifts were under the tree. I didn't steal a candy cane again. And I never told anyone that it was really my fault that Santa was late.

I used to believe that Santa was real and he would not come to your house unless you and everyone in the house was completely asleep. I also believed when my mom told me that Santa came into my room and kissed my head before he left.

I believed in Santa Claus up until I was 8 years old. My father had given me a note from "Santa", but then I recoginzed his hand writing on the note and relized my father had written it. And that was the year I stopped believing.

I grew up in Puerto Rico where,on Jan 6, they celebrate Epiphany (or 3 Kings Day) when the Maji finally show up at the manger. My parents told us kids to put shoeboxes full of grass for the camels under our beds and in the morning we's have gifts. For some reason I believed in the camels coming into my room far longer than Santa coming down the chimney.

once on christmas eve night, when I was about 7, I had the most odd dream that santa snuck into my room, switched on the light and crept over to my bed. he poked me and i woke up and he started laughing maniaclly. i started to cry and i hid under my covers. from then on, i would sleep with my older sister in the next room every christmas eve.

When I was young and went to see Father Christmas..I figured that the person wasn't the REAL Father Christmas, just an Elf of his so he could double check what I wanted.

When I was little my friends all thought I was nuts because I believed in Santa but not St. Nick. We always celebrate St. Nicholas day and get a present in our shoes that morning, and one year it was quite obvious my mom's handwriting was on the tag. She never made that mistake on Christmas. There you go.

One Christmas Eve, when I was eight or there abouts, I got up from my slumber and went to the bathroom. Halfway there, I heard this really deep and scary voice saying "Ho Ho Ho. Well, that's done."

I immedietly ran back to my bed and dive dunder the covers. All night I had nightmares that santa was going to come kill me.

I used to believe in Santa Clause... Probably. I don't remember believing in him, I was always a smart kid and worked it out when I was VERY young (In class one I think, at the age of four... but I could be wrong) but kept going with it coz, hey, prezzies! But one day... When I was about 7 or so, I saw the film Gremlins! (Always reminds me of the Critters group... Now THERE are good films!) Anyway. In this film, an actress mentions her father climbing down the chimney in the guise of Santa and slipping and dying. For a week or so, I was terrified of being in front of the fireplace, and any bad smells... a CORPSE! But luckily, no. I soon told mum I knew Santa wasn't real though. After all, I was just as scared that my Dad would try to climb down the chimney. We have a chimney top with two thin tubes at the top of the chimney instead of an opening... but I was worried he would remove them. I continued to get presents from 'Santa' in a big sack for several more years though.

When I was little I was afraid to sleep alone. My family told me that Santa would not bring me presents unless I was sleeping alone. I asked my brother to please cut the bed in half for just one night so Santa would think I sleep alone.
