After watching the Phantom Of The opera one summer, when I was about 9, I decided that If I became a famous singer, like I had always wanted to be, I would become Christine, and this my friend, who was a boy, would be The Phantom, Erik. I don't remember who Raoul was. I got this idea from a dream I had the night after I'd watched it.
It just made me want to be a Famous Singer even more, because I wanted something exciting and fun to happen! I also thought that if I wwent near any mirrors, the Phantom would swivel it round and kidnap me! I was also convinced if I went to an Opera, which I never did anyway, the 'Opera Ghost' would come and get me! Now, I am a HIGE Phantom fan.
I used to believe in poltergeists. My cousin told me they looked like raisins and would fly around the room and move objects. I was terrified.
Once when i was 4 or 5 i saw a ghost walk down the hall and he looked straight at me and since then I'v thought ghost were real and that still freaks me out now.HOLY CRUD!!! I'm not kidding my mom seen him too.
I used to believe that my Barney stuffed animal was possesed b/c my brother put it in a closet cause it creeped him out and it was malfunctioning so it kept talking! And it was wierd!
Me and my cousin Christina were on the computer once and books kept moving out of the bookshelves! Sometimes it was just Christina messing about but most of the time she wouldn't have been able to reach the books! My cousin Christina said she saw three Victorian people/ghosts on our landing too! Also she slept over last night and said she heard someone calling my name so she hid under the covers for the rest of the night! We still believe this and are quite creeped out by what goes on in my house!SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKY!
I used to believe that each time I went onto the flumes something could come behind me and get me until it actually happened!
My grandfather died not long after my family moved into our new home. I used to believe that my grandfather's ghost would come visit at night, like mary, from the mirror and so i'd sit at the foot of the stairs waiting for him to come talk to me.
i used to believe that someone was chasing me when i was walking by myself or when i was last in line. and i still have that fear. [im now 20].
I was convinced that my house was haunted by a ghost and was determined to meet it and become friends. I remember this leading to a series of adventures.
when i was younger i always believed there was this (ghost) woman that would only stick her harms out of the wall while you were sleeping to take ur pillow and smother you , so that your spirit can join her . I thought as long as sleep with my head covered up she could get to me ......ya i uh sleep with my head covered up till i was around 19 years old, (the habbit stuck with me) lol .
I believed in the Candy Man thing (that you do in front of a mirror) because when my friend and I tried it, the doorbell rang immediately after we finished. I know it isn't true, but it still creeps me out.
Since I was a toddler, I believed in ghosts and bogeyman but I believed the rainy days could scare them off the streets and I would sleep soundly during the wet season :-)
This is pretty crazy, but I used to believe that if I sang 'Do you know the Muffin Man' in front of the mirror, a ghost would come out and kill me. I don't know how I came to this conclusion...
I used to think that ghosts can steal your souls and kill you when i was 9.
When I was young I used to believe that a little white rat, with a white chain for a tail (I used to see it too, and even point him out to my younger sister), was a little ghost, and it would warn me of bad people around me by rattleling it's tail. Although it terrified my sister, I was always seeking it. It always made me feel safe. Go figure!!!
I use to believe in the Ouija board..and use to play with it with friends around a table..and u could contact people from beyond!
When i was about 5 our neighbour friends that were much older than me told me that if there is a little bit of shiny light on anything metal then there is a ghost in the room. We had a t chest in the room that night with the metal beading down the side that was reflecting the light from the lamppost outside and shining..I was sooo scared I had to go sleep in with my mum..ahhh bless
I am a boy from Norway . When i was a child , i saw a cartoon called ''mumi trollet'' ! In that cartoon , it was a ice queen called '' vinter damen'' , a big ghost called ''hufsa'' , and millions of small ghosts called '' hattifnatter '' ! I was really scared for those monsters ! But i was must scared
of ''vinterdamen'' .. Because she could do sombody to ice when she saw them in their eyes !
I used to belive that ''vinter damen'' was in my brothers room , and came into my room at night , to see me in my eyes ! Thanks to the cartoon ''mumi trollet '' , i was so scared that i had to lie with my dune over my head , and over the rest of my body ! I was so stupid ! :)
When I was four and five, we would travel over the mountains to visit our relatives waaaay out in the country-middle-of-nowhere. On the way, I would always look and observe little abandoned 'country stores', like the little grocery stores country folk shopped at back in the day. At some point my granny would get tired of me pestering her for ghost stories and she would tell me that when ghosts needed to 'buy food' they went to shop at the 'Ghost Stores', which were all the little empty abandoned country stores dotting the landscape. She said at night that the whole store filled up with 'ghost food' and such and ghosts would come from all over to buy food. I really believed this until I was like seven years old, that ghosts needed to eat and that abandoned building were their grocery stores.
When I was younger, I thought that there were ghosts in my room that came out when the lights were off. In order to make me safe, my dad would tie a bandanna around my head and that way nothing could get me. It worked...
I was around 5-6
