I used to think that ghosts can steal your souls and kill you when i was 9.

When me and my cousin were young, we believed there was a ghost in one of my grandparents bedroom closets. So, we tried to "fight" the ghost using toilet plungers. I carried around the manual plunger while my cousin used the heavy-duty automatic "super-sucker". Boy, were we weird!

When I was really little my grandmother had this house that was up in the Catskill mountains in upstate New york. It was a nice house, but there was something wrong with the heater. (I believe it was the heater.) and whenever it came on it made this loud noise with almost like a whistle noise in the beginning. Anyways, for the longest time I would hear it and get scared. So my grandma would jokingly say, "Oh, that's just my friend who lives in there, you cant see him because he's a ghost! " I believed her, but as I got older I kind of found out on my own she was kidding. I look back and think of how silly it was to believe such a thing.

i live next to a house that only has one window ever open, and its right next to my bedroom.when i was younger i thought it was a ghost stalker, its actually a flowerpot in my neighbors bathroom

When I was in Grade One, my school shared the same building as my church, and the other students in my grade believed that there was a ghost in the chapel room who played the piano after everyone left. You could hear the piano playing, but it was actually someone practicing for the next service on Sunday. The kids didn't believe that, however.

One day, myself and several classmates were walking past the chapel when we heard the piano playing again. Suddenly, one kid looked through the window and shouted, "It's the Chapel Ghost! Run!" All the other kids ran away. I peeked into the window to see for myself.

It was a man carrying a pile of clear plastic covers, which partially hid his face.

The "Chapel Ghost" was never brought up again.

Despite being in my mid-twenties, I have a very active imagination. Ever since seeing a certain Japanese horror film some years ago, I have been convinced that the vengeful ghost of an angry little girl is lurking somewhere in my house every night. Lights and pillows tucked behind my back seem to keep this fear away, but I still walk a little faster going up the stairs every night....and I don't dare to look behind me!

At the age of 6, i was told to take the rubbish out in the bin at night time. i was very scared because i was told that there was a boogeyman outside waiting for me. i used too chuck the rubbish next to the bin.

1 day when i was a sleep i herd foot steps up the stairs i got SOOOOOOO scared i would think a ghost woukd be walking up the stairs and come to my room and scre me i would plead 2 my mom and dad 2 keep the halway light on during the night cause i no that ghosts hate water and light.

When i was a kids, i used to believe i saw a ghost but the ghost was very strange because it was red and green. I closed my eyes and the ghost disappeared and i never saw again.
And now, i have a phobia of a ghosts because this story was very strange and scary.I still think about this story today !

One time I was in Thailand (I used to live there). When my dad was a monk, I went to sleep in his place one night. Before that. I was lighting holy candles at the place where the big "statue" suppose to be. Also, i throw rocks around the temple. After that night I dreamed something so freaky and scary!!!! God, I was do scared. I went back to the temple and said sorry to the spirits. My dad told me spirits are real and they can come and scare you. It freakled me out and it had not ended. I'm 13!
