When I was five, we had a housefire. We lost everything. Wen the firemen were fighting the fire, my mom, baby sister and I were in the chief's car. My mom says that I said I knew how the fire started. "A dragon flew over and breathed down the chimney." Hey, I was five!

My nephew is about 9 now, but a few years ago he wanted to go into an old trunk of mine. I told him no and he was frustrated. He was about to cry when i told him that it was my sister Janelle's evil twin Danielle locked in there. He looked like he'd just gotten the pun to a big joke! He ran over and kicked it and said " I'm never letting YOU out!!!" Haha

Around the age of 6 I had a little fantasy I scared myself with where I thought I'd wake up to find a monster had literally grown out of me overnight. I pictured it as a sort of purple brain with beady eyes and lots of root-like arms. I eventually decided it wasn't such a scary thought because the creature would have to consider me its parent, and we'de be best friends.

I used to think that monsters would come and get me after i fell asleep. So I always made booby traps and right after that i would usually fall asleep with the light on. IN the morning hte light would be off and hte traps would be messed up. i thought wow! i taught those monsters! now i know that the "monsters" were my parents who came in to turn the light off

When i was little i saw the show unsolved mysteries. They showed this thing that was a "Mothman" It had fur and red eyes. It could fly and it scared the hell out of me. From then on whenever i saw a moth i would scream and run inside.

I used to be afraid of the window. I thought that there was some escaped maniac standing outside. The when i opened the curtain i would see his face and he would smile really scary. So when ever i neared the window i would scream. It annoyed my parents so mush that they made me sleep somewhere without windows. And that was their closet. But i loved it. Finally i overcame my fear

When I was 6 I thought there was a hunter and his bloodhound and they would always try to kill me and put my head on a wall as a trophy. I would always hide under the covers at night when I was sure they were coming. And then one night, I pulled off his jacket, and they turned out to be a bunch of baby chickens stacked on each other's backs who just came to give me candy.

iw as told that the "safeway Gremlins" would come out from under crawlspaces in safeway (at night) and rearange the items. since I jumped and made lots of noise on the crawl spaces, i thought they'd come up and eat me!

I still wont jump on safeway crawlspaces...

I used to believe that whenever i was on my staircase and i turned the light off, there was a big sort of monster/rat thing in the washing machine room that was on the stairs, so i'd run down the stairs as fast as i could.

Ok....when I was little... I would lie in bed awake for a while. You know how when there is complete silence, you can hear your heart beat in your ears? Well I would think it was Chubaca from starwars walking down the road making loud foot steps and I used to cry when I heard the sound...

In my bedroom, I had a very loud vent right on the ground next to my bed. I swore I thought little tiny soliders were marching up to come and get me.

When I was younger I really believed that Unicorns existed and they were just very rare. I actually remember when I found out that they didn't and the realisation that I would never ever see one in real life was very upsetting!!

When i was little and i wouldn't go to sleep, my parents would tell me that a monster would come in my house to eat me. they also told me that the monster would eat every little kid that wouldn't go to sleep. i think thats why i'm scared of the dark......

I used to believe that monsters were only able to get you if you were in the dark and it was completely quiet. This resulted in me either sleeping with the light on, or caterwauling any song that came into my head all night. My parents had to keep the lights on for weeks because I was terrified if I fell asleep with the lights off, the monsters would get me while I was vulnerable.

My cousin, Heather told me when I was about 5-7 that there was a boogie-man living in my grandmother's fernace. I asked her "I can't see it, is the boogie-man really in there?" and she'd say "He can see you, but you can't see him." I believed this since age 10.

When I was younger, I used to have a lot of nightmares about the flying monkeys from the wizard of oz. So much so that I convinced myself that the lived in my attic . This was backed up when I has re-occuring dreams about them ice skating in little red suits......in my attic.

I am now 30 years old and very unstable ..... ooo ooo ooo ooo
