I had a dragon named Sherlock who used to visit me every night before I went to sleep. He had the biggest yellow/green eyes that were the size of my bedroom window and he would chat to me and protect me. When my parents were trying to kill each other he would let me on his back and we'd fly to the moon. I miss him
Did you ever read the Goosebumps books? What about the one with the man who was really a plant? Well when I was little I actually believed that my parents and all adults were really evil plants out to murder me. I think it took me about 6 months to get over it. I never read another Goosebumps book after that!

I used to be afraid of the dark, and consequently thought all window blinds were monsters. Therefore, their only weakness was turning the horn that hung from the left side of their face, and for that you had to approach with the utmost caution.

When I was about 7, my brother told me the Joker (from Batman) was going to get me. He said that if I shined a green light anywhere, the Joker would come out and "get me". I guess he meant "kill" instead of "get" me, but I still don't know. Anyways, one evening we had my dad's side of the family over for dinner, and my cousins, brother and I went into the basement and my brother got his colored flashlight, put it on green and started shining it everywhere with the lights off. I was so scared that I ran upstairs and refused to go in the basement for weeks on end.
I used to believe that Sante Clause lived in the bushes beside my house, waiting for me to come close enough so he could swallow me whole. I'd have a panic attack everytime my mother would try to walk me to school.

When I came to America after I got adopted, I had never known what fireworks were. So laying in bed one summer night, I thought the big booms were the massive feet of a monster coming to get me!
When I was about 3 or 4 my older sister told me that there are these monsters that live in back yard and come up at night to eat short haired, redheaded little girls. Needless to say I didn't go outside at night for a very long time.
When i was about 7 i was playing in the yard, and it was my bedtime so my father told me watch out for the zombies under the ground.
i must of cried for about 3 hours.
Im still terrified of Zombies (25 now)
when I was about 6 thanks to my evil big sister i believed that when you went to bed all the little bed bugs come out and collect your skin then take it to a giant bed bug that lived in the middle of the bed and when it got big enough it burst out and ate you. I remember sleeping curled up on my pillow until the age of 9!
When I was little my sister told me the great wolf lodge in Wisconsin dells had real wolves that would come in your room while u were sleeping and eat you. When we were going there for my sisters birthday the next year I cried the whole way there.
Until I was 7 I believed there was a potato monster who lived in the basement. He was made of huge potatoes and if I went in the basement he would eat me. My brother and I used to sit on the top step and dare each other to go down. Neither of us made it off the top step! ;D Basements still feak me out!
thanks to my grandfather i used to beleive that there were things called "hide-behinds" that followed you everywhere you went and everytime you turned around they would hide
I used to believe that talking to the sewer lids in the middle of the roads was a way to contact Godzilla. And we could only talk to him if we took our Barbie jeep to the middle of the cul-de-sac to get there.
When I was little I had this really creepy clown picture hanging up on my bedroom wall. I used to think the clown was real and living in the attic and every time I heard thumps in the attic at night I thought it was the clown trying to escape to come get me, it turns out it was just old pipes rattling but to this day I can never go near a circus and even the sight of a clown gives me a cold sweat.
when I was a kid I used to believe that we are little people and we live in a giant's playroom. Also they used toothpaste as a glue to build our houses.
I used to believe there were crocodiles under my bed. At night they would wake up and look for ankles to grab and drag under the bed. However, they didn't like to venture far from the safe cover of the bed. So if I got up at night to go to the bathroom I would stand on the bed and jump off. Then when I got back I would do a running jump to get back onto my bed.
When I was little my dad used to tell me that there was a short little man with white hair and who liked to eat children and hamsters (I had a pet hamster at the time) that lived in the woods surrounding our house. Every night I would get so scared that he would pop up underneath my window (which was on the first floor) and try and eat me! When we moved I still kind of believed that he lived in our attic.
When I was little, I thought he was called the "Abdominal Snowman" instead of "Abominable."

When I was younger, my older cousins told me that if you slept with your feet hanging off the bed the devil would pull your toes. I always slept as far up the bed as humanly possible or I would make sure my toes were covered.. I still do to this day and I am 22!
