I am paranoid ever since I was young, so my older sister used to tell me that the government used to watch you through the television and listen through the smoke detector. You have no idea how many candles I had to blow out and how many times I yelled at my mother to turn off the television.

"Smallville" is a television show about Superman as a teenager. When it first came out a year or two ago, I for some reason refused to believe my brother when he said that it was about Superman. He made fun of me for weeks.

P.S. When my brother watched me write this, he corrected me that the show has been going on for about five years. I don't know if I should believe him...

I used to think that the people on tv would just stay at home all the time waiting for the phone to ring saying their show was going to be on. Then they'd have to rush over to the studio to do the show or commercial. Whenever a show wasn't on when I thought it would be it was because the actors got stuck in traffic.

You know that cartoon Digimon? Well, I used to believe that me, my best friend, and a few other kids we knew were really Digi-Destined, and someday, we were going to go into the Digital World and have to save it from evil. We "knew" who our Digimon were going to be because it had been psychically suggested to us, and at one point we were even convinced that we were taken into the Digital World when we were younger but made to forget about it. It went so far as us to assume that we would occasionally get "possessed" by our adversary Digimon, MegaTyrannomon and occasionally DarkMistressmon. We were convinced it had to be us because we also happened to be sorcerers (obviously), because we knew "magical artifacts" (usually bizarre yardsale knickknacks) when we saw them.

We thankfully grew out of this, but I'm still not entirely certain about one of those "artifacts" that we called the Stone of Chaos. It really was creepy...

I used to believe that the songs on the radio came from little people inside the car, where the speakers are.

I used to think that all commercial were live and so I was quite confused when I saw the same people day after day doing the exact same thing.

As a big fan of cartoons as a child, I thought that it was only logical that WE too had the black outlines that surrounded most cartoon characters. I was amazed when I couldn't see my outline, or anyone elses for that matter..so I just figured that we moved to fast to see them.

i have 2 things that i used to beleive
#1:i used to belive if u put i hole in the tv screen i could jump in and be on the show with all of the celebs of course, i did not realize that the shows had already been filmed. how stupid of me
#2: i used to think that if a person was dating on the show that they would be dating in real life. now i realize that only some celebs do that, like adam brody and rachel bilson.

On the News show "One News" a reporter, once finished reporting a story would state thier name and the News Crew they were with, for examle "Joe Bloggs, One News". But I believed they were saying "Joe Bloggs, Won News" as if the news was a huge competition to see who could get the best story possible

When I was younger, I thought that cartoons were put on the TV for me only. I got the shock of my life when I walked past someone's window on the way home from school and saw that they were watching the same cartoons that I did!

I used to think that when you put in a tape the little men jumped in the tape and they lived in little houses on certain parts of the tape. the same with cds I used to wonder how they could live with everything spinning.

I thought that there were TV cameras everywhere, watching us all the time, and that only the funny cool people got on TV (this was in the '60s). My evidence? "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and, sadly, "Get Smart", were to me so obviously real that this must be true. I tried to be really hilarious and interesting as often as I thought of it so my family would be on tv too. Hey, I was REALLY young -- 5 and 6.

I used to believe that TV shows were all happening as I watched them, especially sit-coms. I believed that the people in the shows were in real time and that they apparently never used the restroom.

I used to believe that when you turned off the TV, the show you were watching paused. When I came back home from doing something, I always got pissed at my family b/c I thought that they turned the TV on.

We had a nice mailman and one day I wanted to send in a letter to a TV show for a drawing but I did not have a stamp. The mailman took my letter and a nickel and said he would buy the stamp or me. I wathedf the TV show for weeks and weeks and they never called my name as a winner, so I was sure the mailman threw my letter away and stole my nickel.

I saw something on a cartoon show when I was about 5, that a little kid put toilet paper on the floor claiming it's a river, and a chair over it claiming it's a bridge. He got someone to cross the bridge, but he fell in, so he was in real water and drowned. I really wanted to go swimming, but my parents said no, so I wasted a whole bunch of toilet paper putting it on the floor and putting a chair over it. I kept on stepping on the toilet paper, but it was still dry. Then I found out those cartoons were just making stuff up to amuse little kids.
